Edgar Cayce Readings, 34-5

LBC: You have before you [34], ..., Ind. Go over him carefully, examine him thoroughly, and tell us what his condition is now.
EC: Yes, we have had him here before. Some conditions of the body are better than we have had before; others we find not so much improvement towards a normal condition, or a bettered condition of the physical body. We will take the man as we have him now, [34].
We have now, the physical man, that is, the body in itself, that is the whole man that includes the physical self, mental self and the abnormal body, or the abnormal mind. Now, we find in the physical body, the attributes, that is the muscular force of the body and the circulation, that is, the blood force in the body, rebuilding the body in itself, that is, the structure outside, the bone and the muscle of the body. Now we find the same as we have had before and we find more now than we had at first of the abnormal condition here at the upper end of the stomach - the upper cortex of the stomach, producing a lesion there, and has produced in the condition in the body that effect on to the mental and abnormal mind of the body, producing the condition in the system as we have had here in the body at present.
Now, we separate the two conditions in the system, of the mental and physical body. Now, through the physical body we find it not a normal man, through the muscular force or through the blood supply, on account of the conditions that have existed here from time back. The nerve force to the body, which is the attribute to the mental man, same as the circulation to the physical, the nerve of the body is to the mental, or to the brain force, which is the head, the moving power, of the physical man. An impression to the nerve force carried by the muscular force of the body to the brain, makes an impression to be used as to how to move the forces in the physical man, to the betterment of his condition. The abnormal mind, or that is, the working power between the brain force or the nerve power in the body, is to the body that which takes care of the body, or that takes care of the involuntary forces in the physical and mental man. That is the action between the nerve and the brain, or that active self that takes place. The same force that propels the circulation, that puts out the hand or takes it away when it is hurt; the same force that gives the feeling to the nerve of the physical man.
Now, we have these three attributes, or these three forces in the human body, that is, as in this body. Now, the abnormal condition of the body here in the physical man, is the condition of muscular force. We have a structure of the bone, a structure in the head, muscles in the body, but not formed by the attributes to it from the circulation, nor the mental action on the muscular force, to make these strong enough to carry on the forces in the man. The same as we have through the abnormal mind, or sub-conscious condition of the body, takes control of the system, producing within it then the condition to the mental mind, to the physical body of the whole man. Or, in other words, have it prepossessed from the outside. This produced then this taxing of this condition, producing the condition we have in the system or the status which we have at present here, or forces formed there. The effect to the system, has improved the system here, that is, the physical man by this force on the nerve of the body supplying then more cells in the brain, or breaking up of these cells. An impression, you see, to the nerve force carried to the brain, makes an impression, or destroys a cell, whereby the impression is left. The action is the abnormal, not the abnormal condition, physical or mental, but the abnormal mind working in the man.
The condition in the body then, is abnormal, both from the physical, mental and abnormal self. The condition in the system, as we have had to better the condition, that is given from material you see, into the stomach, to the digestion, passing into the circulation, through the physical self, has produced then the effect of the medicine, that is taken into the system, instead of the effect on the forces acted on. The blood supply then becomes abnormal, and we have a shock to the nerve force, and we have produced a spasm to the muscular force or organs in the system - a spasmodic condition of the nerve supply to the brain; a spasmodic condition of the lungs in themselves, producing the condition we have from the air expelled from the lungs and also the condition we have from all muscular forces in the body. The blood then flows abnormally to the head through the upper trunk of the body and through the lower extremities, and they become cold, and the blood flows with a rush back to the Hepatic circulation, through the lung, piles up force in the heart and we have a state of the abnormal self taking control of the system.
The effect we have had on the nerve force - that is, through the electrical - life is electrical force - the same action we have here in the body of the nerve force is to the mental world, electrical. Outside of the body you see. Electrical force on the nerve tissue has produced then the status of the lateral circulation between the nerve supply from the blood force taken into the system, supplied by the system in this body, by the physical body of [34], a condition that has kept from an over stimulation to these forces in the stomach or the supply to these, that produced the condition or the spells he has, until they have become bettered.
Then we have a leaving of this force and in the congestion of the forces along the spine through the sympathetics, or we have a stem which comes down either side of the spine, the sympathetics being the force, or the stem to the abnormal mind, that the circulation is to the physical body, and the nerve force to the mental body, hence, we have in the system, an excess in the normal condition of the body, that is, when the body is not in a spell as we would have it; we have an excess of capillary circulation; an excess of the lymphatic circulation, and lymphatic action of the nerve that is, exterior.
To better the condition from what we have it now, we want more of the congestion along the spine here, with the ice, - cold, outside. Let there be plenty of iodide with it here. That is, exterior application - exterior application along the spine from the 2nd cervical to the last lumbar, all along the spine, and plenty of electrical force, strong here to create the nerve force by the electrical instead of acting from the physical man of [34], action to the nerve force of the body from the electrical force inside, but given from the outside here. Keep up the condition we have here in the stomach of potash, so that reduced to the stomach the state of congestion, or excess of air, or gases forming in the stomach. Pressure on these produce then an over-state of stimulation from the plexus here at the solar plexus - an over-stimulation to these then, and we have these forces thrown out, - excess of circulation; excess of stimulation to the nerve force in the body and excess of forced, or excess of protection to the body by control of the abnormal mind.
(Q) What form of potash should this be?
(A) Same as we have had here before, Bromide.
(Q) Has he been getting the electricity strong enough? Has he been given enough of that? Does he need any more electricity. What should his diet be?
(A) What he can digest.
(Q) Is there anything else you would suggest?
(A) Do these and reduce the condition - better condition of the physical and mental body. We need strong applications to the mental, through itself. We have a physical, a mental and abnormal self, then, from self, we better the conditions by the attributes to the physical, mental and abnormal self by self will. He has none now of his own. Not enough impressions made to the mind or matter in the head, or brain proper to produce any. We want self will. Not that which is thrown out here, as we have had in the state of spasms, where he becomes as it were, ravished of self, contrarywise - a strong will to self to hold up, lift the body up, go to work, see? More of the force to act on the mind to make it act here, to use the force here to better it, and not to loll about. This body can be bettered, if it will stick to it. If it gives itself away here to itself, then he will have one of these fits, and will die.
