REPORTS
9/12/25 letter from Mr. [
3190]: "...Mr. [
77], the big strong
boy that you met a couple of times with me in Dayton is going
like a house afire. He has 17 contests to date without a
loss; he is getting big - weighs about l56 pounds. He often
asks me about you - he also sends his best wishes."
12/10/25 letter from Mr. [
3190]: "...The young Mr. [
77] who
I have under my wing is going fine. He is weighing 155
pounds in condition; he has 20 contests so far and has not
lost a one. Every boxing critic has a good word for him and
says if he is taken along slow will go to the top. If he
does I sure will remember my friend Cayce. He does not weigh
l68 lbs. as your reading said he would. That was last Sept.,
nine months previous to his last reading, but he is getting
big and strong and feels fine, and learning fast. I just
received a letter today from a promoter in Tampa begging me
to bring him down there, says he will get him plenty of work.
This sure is a fine boy. He thinks a lot of you, Cayce, and
often asks about you..."
