GC: You will have before you the body of [
106], and the
dreams this body had in her apartment ..., New York City.
The first dream on Tuesday night, March 10th, or early
Wednesday morning, March 11th, 1925, was as follows: Shoes
hurt her terribly and she took them to shoemaker to be fixed.
He slit or prepared something to put in them, when that
something seemed to explode and turn into two American flags
high up in the air, which she and shoemaker tried to reach,
but the flags were to high up. The shoemaker finally got the
shoes fixed such that they were comfortable on her feet, when
she looked down to note that her fine silk stockings were
full of holes. You will give the interpretations of these
dreams and the lessons to be gained from same.
EC: Yes, we have the body here, and the dreams with their
lessons as may be gained from these. In giving this we must
first take into consideration the conditions surrounding the
mental forces of the body through which these dreams or
visions were given. While the body does have the dreams and
the relations as are found between the conscious existence
of forces in self and that as reached through the
subconscious forces of the body, there have been few that the
body retains in their entirety, yet portions of same often
are brought to the consciousness of the individual.
Then, we find the individual, [
106], under the present stress
of conditions, physically and mentally, brings these, as it
were, to the consciousness of self through these existent
conditions. And these as we find are emblematical of
conditions existent in those surrounding the individual
and pertaining to the foundation, as in shoes, for the
individual and for those about the body.
The seeking to have someone assist in preparing the
foundation is that represented in going to someone to seek
assistance. With the sudden explosion is indicated the
change entirely that is to occur from the manner in which
the foundations are to be prepared or made.
The flying away of flag is emblematical of the heights of two
different ways, yet made the same, as both are of the same
nature in flag.
The inability to reach same by self, and the help sought,
indicates the manner that each shall go above that necessary
of help from either.
With the preparation of the foundation for use, and the
finding of the rents in the apparel, is shown the faulty
conditions the entity may obtain in self through the manner
of seeking the aid.
The lessons then are apparent in the explanation of what
this means.
In the other had at the later date, on the 12th, we find
the writing on paper again is emblematical, and this is only
a portion of the vision as seen and felt by the body.
This consciousness of this portion brought through indicates
again the conditions existent in physical plane, that of self
and of self's assistance to others is represented in writing
and in preserving at the same time that used. In this we
find that the entity may be of assistance, yet holds self in
much reserve, as is shown by the erasing of that prepared for
some other use. And the entity will find these will give the
insight into existent conditions. Then the greater lesson to
be learned in these is that the entity should lend strength,
assistance, in mental and material forces in seeking the sure
foundation for all.
We are through for this reading.
BACKGROUND
For past month Mrs. [
106] had been physically suffering from
a bad case of shingles - neuritis, pain, nausea. She also
mentally was involved in her son [
900]'s interest in the
Edgar Cayce work, and his approaching marriage.
REPORTS
Note by GD: In son [
900]'s letter of
3/15/25 requesting
above dream interpretations, he also wrote, not included
in above suggestion read to EC: "Another dream Ma had at
the same place, but on a recent date, the exact date of
which she cannot remember, but you may be able to give
interpretation and lesson by having Ma [
106], this address,
and the dream itself before you, which was as follows: She
wrote on a white piece of paper, then erased the writing
because she remembered that this was needed by her and was
the only piece of paper left."
