This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by her husband, [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [136] of New York City, and the dream this body had on the date which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [136]. This we have had before. The dreams come to this body in that way and manner as has been outlined for same. In this special instance there is seen a dream that has come to the entity (and only a portion of same has been retained) which if considered in conjunction with the dream had by Jacob at El-beth-el would give to the entity the full understanding of that seen in this vision. For as is seen by the sheep without the leader, the herd has gone astray and the wolves are entering in to destroy the flock. And there is needed the guide, the director, even as in Israel, that they may be gathered to-gether and give that peace and joy to the world as is seen in the way and manner as directed by that promise made: for behold in this place is holy ground, and from this must come the gatherer of the lost sheep of the house in Israel. Ready for dream.
3. (Q) Friday night, May 21, or Saturday morning, May 22, 1926. "This dream was very clear and seemed so realistic that my mind upon awakening remembered it and was impressed. I seemed about to have a baby and was very sick - vomiting, etc. My mother was there and said it must be that I was sick - not pregnant. I asked for the doctor to be called, which my mother did. I seemed to have some sort of miscarriage - at any rate it ended that I was not pregnant but my sickness came from something else entirely, as the doctor informed me."
   (A) Herein there is presented that condition as has been given aforetime to the entity, that there is the necessity of the body's taking that care and attention to the physical health of the body, that through same there may come that manifestation of the forces from the unseen force, that which will bring joy, peace and happiness to many. And as is visioned, the warning comes again to the body and to make same realistic, as it were, through the correlation of physical ideas. The mother presents same, as it were, to the entity, and in the entity's call for the physical physician for the body, and the realization that same condition in body is that the sickness produced from PHYSICAL conditions rather than from conceptive forces, the entity sees that the body, physically, should prepare self, mentally and physically, for that conceptive condition which should take place in the present year, as has been given, in the early fall, that these forces, as are visioned in the necessity for the shepherd in Israel for the needs of the peoples, may manifest through these conditions. For, as has been given, this entity, above many, has been given and chosen as that vessel through which the manifestation of the forces may come. Find self in that receptive manner, rather than in that position or condition as of rejecting such, and bring then, therefore, fruits, meats, for repentence to many. Ready for questions.
4. (Q) What sickness did cause my miscarriage?
   (A) That inability of the physical to carry out that as necessary for the full manifestation of the condition necessary in the physical body, as the warnings were given.
5. (Q) How may I avoid that next time?
   (A) Preparing the body physically, preparing the body mentally.
6. (Q) How may I now prepare physically?
   (A) Common sense should give those necessary cares for physical body for the correct mental and physical attitude for the receptivity of such conditions. That is, keep the body physically fit. Keep the mind receptive to those conditions in the way as has been outlined for same.
7. (Q) Explain my mother's appearance - did that consciousness that was my mother in the physical and that now is an inclusive consciousness in the One Whole consciousness actually communicate with my consciousness?
   (A) As that has been given, that this consciousness of [136] might, through that force, impelling force, as of the mother love; which to the body PHYSICAL becomes a material condition as manifested in material world. Then, as would be given by all good, holy, in heaven, in earth, prepare self for that which is to become the crowning glory of the entity.
8. (Q) I became conscious of the same condition of which the consciousness of my mother included in her consciousness - i.e. we both met at one point and my physical saw that other consciousness in the emblematical form of my mother. Correct?
   (A) Correct in that this is given as has been outlined.
9. That is all the questions.
10. There may be much given respecting the correlation of these two visions to this entity. Well that these be heeded.
11. We are through for the present.
