5/03/27 Husband [
900]'s letter: "[
136] changed doctors and
this one is much more attentive and satisfactory - but, and
here is the but, he still keeps the baby at the breast every
other feeding and gives him the bottle at other or in between
times. He gave [
136] some funny named pills to take, saying
that they would not affect the milk or baby. He looked at
her milk (did not analyze it, as I think he should have) and
said it was o.k. [
136] has been taking Cascara pills right
along and nursing at same time, so maybe by now the milk is
better, I don't know. The reading said to temporarily remove
the baby from breast which was not done. For some reason,
that I cannot comprehend from my viewpoint, [
136] would not
TEMPORARILY stop nursing. From her viewpoint it was stop
altogether if that was necessary, and backed by the doctors
she did not stop. The doctors said no, and the readings yes,
but not altogether - that is, resume after physical [136's]
better. Also the formula was changed by the doctor to
include barley water so far so good. The readings said leave
out the milk sugar, but the doctor increased it. [
136], poor
kid (mind, I am not blaming her), was torn between doctor and
readings, yet she seemed set on one thing - not to give up
nursing temporarily. I don't know why - maybe Mrs. Cayce,
understanding the woman's mind, will explain better than ever
we may. But for me in all this there was, and is, no peace."
5/09/27 Mrs. [
136]'s next was another dream interpretation
reading.
