(Q) Now, is it possible for the ego to return to the
physical plane again, except through the route of the cradle?
(A) That dependent not only upon the mental and spiritual
desire of the ego, but also upon the desire of those who
study those impressions that are not effaced in the earth.
These made one, may bring into being that of the entity in
such a manner as to be made, to be seen, felt, heard, and in
such there becomes oft danger unless understood. In this is
the psychical as one set in motion those of the spiritual
force, as is made manifest in each entity, or so in body;
this as it moves from sphere to sphere, seeks its way to the
home, to the face of the Creator, the Father, the first
cause, the all infusible force as is manifest; as the ties of
sphere to sphere recede, then self is lost in that of
attaining for itself the nearer and nearer approach that
buildeth in manifested form, whether in the Pleiades,
Arcturus, Gemini, or in earth, in Arcturus, Vulcan, or in
Neptune, and seeks to draw that as is experienced through the
sphere, passing, then, ever as light, a ray that does not
end, lives on and on, until it becomes one in essence with
the source of light. Same as the entity this so moves sphere
to sphere. Have you not read of: "Know Ye Not, That Ye Must
Be Born of Water and of The Spirit?" The water in material,
the Mother of life, the Spirit, the Father, or that moving to
bring life. Is it possible, then, that a man when he is old,
shall again enter his Mother's womb and be born again? He
must be born of water and of blood. Blood, a manifestation
of force that through which life manifests in its various
forms. Water, the cleansing force as one moves from
experience to experience.

REPORTS
9/26/33 Mr. [
257]'s letter to EC: "It might interest you
to know that [
136] left [
900], so Mrs. [
454] informed me
last Saturday. You may use your own judgement as to the
cause and results."
10/08/33 Mr. [
257]'s letter: "[
454] says [
136] has become a
pest and is drinking like a fish! and she will not see her
again. I thought of this because [
454] has been so sweet,
also [
2541] and all others."
2/09/36 Mr. [
257]'s letter: "I was served papers by [
3734]
today, and I guess it is the direct result of my meeting
with [
900]. He moved to 2 rooms, his boy [
142] is out of
school, [
136] is in ..., La. Their office [
900] and [
137]'s
is a small one of 1 and 1/2 room - they have been hard hit
like everyone. He is afraid of [
3734], he said. He also
said she was mean and would do anything for a dollar. He
is stuck proper with property - he wanted to know why I had
a suit on the property - I said it was to dissolve the A.N.I.
and nothing more."
1/05/52 Mrs. [
903]'s letter to HLC: "Xmas day was quiet,
cold...we sat around the fire...later [
136] and her son
[
142] joined us until midnight...[
136] had dinner with [
849],
[
257] and me, several weeks ago and on Xmas day she brought
her son [
142]. He is about your height, a stocky build and
good looking. At first we liked him, but as the evening wore
on he showed a very dogmatic attitude about life in general.
It has not been easy and I'm afraid there are scars.
Naturally, he was eager to meet all the strange people.
[
136] proved to be a remarkably resolute person. She went
to court for the child [
142] - then suffered a nervous
breakdown. She then decided to go in for nursing. Everyone
tried to discourage her because of the middle thirties but
she accepted the challenge and won out. She has been in
N.Y. eleven years - ... Pavilion. Goes to work at midnight,
markets on her way home in the morning. Cleans house,
sleeps all day and then prepares [
142]'s dinner when he
returns from work. He [
142] had one and one-half years
in the Navy - spent three years at Univ. of ... and decided
to join his mother [
136] in N.Y. He is working with a
wholesale jewelry house. [
136] is anxious to see him
married. She is a little thinner than of old, a little
hard, a brittle and cynical humor but a straightforward
and honest person. She calls us often and is happy to have
made the connection again. There is no bitterness - she
simply regards [
900] as a man who went off balance [GD's
note: See
900-233, Par. 7-A, on
5/07/26 warning that this
might happen.] and was no longer a responsible person.
She declares her glittering N.Y. married life was very
foreign to her real nature and never felt comfortable with
[
900]'s set."
6/02/52 Son [
142]'s letter to GD: "My mother [
136] and
myself have often thought of writing to you in order to
obtain our Life Readings. Perhaps it will come as a
surprise to you to hear from one of us after so long a time.
"I have just recently been introduced to Mr. [
257] and
Mrs. [
903] through my mother who has resumed old friendships
after so long a time. We find ourselves possessed with
insatiable curiosity and would indeed like to obtain our
Life Readings. It seems that over the years our copies
have been misplaced.
"Please let us know what expense this entails. We hope in
the future to be able to come to the beach and see you and
Hugh Lynn."
6/06/52 GD's letter to [
142]: "Your name, without the 'Jr.',
I'm sure I must have typed at least a million times. It was
indeed a surprise and a pleasure to get your note. Through
the years I have often thought of you and your mother [
136]
and wondered where you were and how you were getting along.
"The copies of your most interesting Life Readings are
enclosed [
142-1 and 136-1]. I do hope you both will come to
Virginia Beach to see us and the work we are doing. You will
probably want to read your other readings, also the many
references which must have been made to you and [
136] in
[
900]'s readings. I remember that he asked many questions
about relationships. Since the readings are not completely
indexed, unfortunately those references are not now a part of
your individual file - but they will be! It is slow, tedious
work - but utterly fascinating.
"I have also wondered about [
140] and [
143], and if you and
your mother have kept in touch with them.
"I'd certainly be interested in hearing what your reaction is
to your reading, which was given when you were 20 days old.
"Please give my love to your mother, and do write us again."
7/04/52 Mr. [
142] sent a check for the typing of the two Life
Readings, without comment.
8/30/53 Mrs. [
903]'s letter to HLC: "[
136]'s son [
142] is
at ... Hospital, ..., Tenn., under psychiatric care. He has
had three shock treatments because of violence, though the
head man, Dr. Orr, had given her [
136] a good prognosis for
him [
142] possibly a 3 month affair. She [
136] has just
returned after spending two weeks with him. The doctors
advised her to leave for the present. She is giving up her
nursing job at ... and moving to ..., La. to be with her
sister [
3816] and nearer [
142].
"This is an accumulation of a whole life of conflicts - the
thing that set it off, however, was his falling in love with
a red-headed Irish girl - divorcee with 8 yr. old child - and
husband was a garage mechanic [repeat of situation with his
father, [
900], and [
3734]!]. Sinister, isn't it? Write
[
136] in care of me."
9/13/53 Miss [
243]'s letter to HLC: "About 3 weeks ago
tonight the phone rang and who do you think it was? [
136]
She was here with her son [
142] at ... Hospital. It seems he
was here working and was taken ill and they called his
mother. She [
136] was terribly upset about him. From what I
understood he had a nervous breakdown. I had lunch with her
one day and talked with her every evening for about a week,
but I called last about two weeks ago - she had gone. They
said they didn't know where. She said to me the last time I
talked with her she was waiting a call from her sister
[
3816], and trying to get her son in a Veterans Hospital down
there (La.) - they were so overrun here. I have tried to
call about the boy [
142] but couldn't get any information.
So I don't know whether he is still here or not. I have felt
anxious for [
136], for she herself was in a very nervous
state. She seems to have gone through plenty of grief. I
really wanted so much to do something for her. She was so
distressed. She kept saying to me that she knew [
294] was
her guiding star and she knew everything would work out for
her in the right way. She certainly thinks a lot of you,
Hugh Lynn. She wished so many times you were here to counsel
her."
4/09/54 Mr. [
900] died, apparently having been out of touch
with his ex-wife and son all these years.
7/54 Son [
142] spent 2 days at Va. Beach talking with GD and
reading his own and his father [
900]'s readings. [HLC was
out of town.] He said he had decided to make application for
preparing himself to be a rabbi. Part of the reason for
his trip to Va. Beach was to visit his uncle [
137] and to try
to get some money from his father's estate, as his father had
left everything to his brother [
137]. The uncle [
137] was
rude to him, said his father [
900] had put him [
142] out of
his life, that there was nothing due him [
142] from the
estate. This seemed to be a crushing blow to [
142]; he said
he should have gotten in touch with his father years ago,
when there might have been a chance to get close to him.
8/54 Mr. [
142]'s letter to GD: "Please send me a life
reading that is in your opinion the best one available on my
mother [
136] and my father [
900]. I have learned much -
there is much more to be learned. With my deepest and
fondest affection, I remain, Sincerely yours. P.S. Will
write more in detail later."
8/17/54 GD sent him a copy of
900-38 and
136-1, with a
personal note.
11/23/54 N.Y. lecture announcement was ret'd marked Address
Unknown. HLC later told GD that he had heard from [
903] and
[
257] that [
142] had landed back in an institution.
GD's note: The above tragic details are given for the
purpose of showing whatever karmic studies can be made of the
lives of these three people [
900], [
136] and [
142]. Review
their readings, the warnings, the promise indicated in their
son before he was born provided the ideals and purposes were
held, etc., etc. Who knows but what if [
136] had stuck with
[
900] regardless of his interest in [
3734] and apparent
off-balance activities, instead of giving way to the urge to
"get even" as warned in
136-1, conditions might have turned
out differently? As it was she ran away from a condition
which she later met in her own son. The son may have turned
out differently if he had been in close touch with his father
who apparently had much to do with attracting his soul to the
earth plane this time.
