This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of November, 1925, in accordance with request made by his brother, [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [137] of ..., New York City, and the dreams this body had on the dates which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lessons to be gained from each of these, as I read same to you, and you will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [137]. This we have had here before. The dreams, the visions, that come to the body are as those developing forces manifesting through the individual, and may be used to the advantage of self, as given. Ready for dreams.
3. (Q) Night of November 17, or morning of 18, 1925. "I was shaving and cut some of the side hair off from my temple. It hurt."
   (A) In this there is given the emblematical condition of how that to remove from self some of those conditions that hinder the best developing may, in the way of fleshly desire, be a hurt to the individual, yet as the necessity of keeping that portion of face in the way that gives the more perfect satisfaction, same is often necessary, that self take stock, as it were, of self's actions in mental, moral and physical ways, that the forces of the entity may be better magnified in the way of that, that the entity may show forth the works of Him who gives all good and perfect gifts.
4. (Q) Evening of Thursday, November 19. "Saw a woman's face. It was pretty, and had an expression of what appeared to me as 'Love,' and also a 'Gay' and 'Free' expression. She pulled a piece of gold colored cloth up to her chin. She held the cloth there by two sticks, one in each hand, one end of the sticks was cork covered. She was going through the gold cloth, holding it by the sticks, one in each hand, up above her head."
   (A) In this we see the vision of those conditions that do appear to the entity in the way that same may give and gain lessons from those conditions as are being manifested through this entity. The woman, the beauty, the looks, as is seen, felt, in the entity, the messages as are coming to the entity from time to time. The gold cloth representing, then, those truths that are being shown to entity through these messages, and the ability to hold same up is shown the entity, the grace, the power, the beauty, the magnificences, goodness, as is shown in love, in strength, in power, in money, in every force as may be the entity's through the application of those truths and lessons as are being gained day by day, see? Emblematical conditions, presented in such a manner as entity may, through the study of the visions seen, gain that consciousness of the full meaning of that in obtaining, holding, having, a perfect understanding of the conditions being presented to entity, see?
5. (Q) "Saw an arrow shot from a bow. Arrow went high and powerfully."
   (A) That soon a message will come to entity that is of powerful intent and purpose, to be made the most of, that entity gain strength and power.
6. (Q) Thursday night, November 19, or Friday morning, November 20, 1925. "In the dream, I dreamed that St. Paul (possibly preferred) Stock was selling at $2 per share. That is, I dreamed that I dreamed St. Paul sold at $2."
   (A) This the indication to the entity in the same forces, that entity may gain the intent and purpose of the vision as seen, dreamed that he dreamed, see? Then, entity should gain from this, that this preferred stock as is seen, and which is held long by entity, and which is on the decrease, will decrease in the valuation as the combinations, correlations are given, see? until the new certificates are issued, and these begin in their climb, see? Then, as the position is held, sell rather than buy in preferred, see?
7. (Q) At what price?
   (A) Prevailing prices, for we shall have the $2 descent in the valuation, even lower, see?
8. (Q) What does $2 per share mean?
   (A) That meaning then, as has been given, these all going off until Wednesday, Thursday, $2 per share meaning the decreasing in valuation to $2, see? that is, a $2 decrease in valuation, $2 at a time.
9. (Q) What should it mean for me as regards the stock market?
   (A) All selling off, as given, see, until after the holiday - 26th, see?
10. (Q) "Felt a hand on my face."
    (A) In this we find that of the entity's gaining an insight into another development of the entity's forces that way be manifest more and more in the material world. As the inclination of entity, [137], is toward that of the affection and love of those whom the entity wishes to magnify in the earth plane, the forces of those spiritual forces, as do manifest, show through the touch as is felt in the physical plane, those NEARNESSES that would come to entity for the purposefulness of the full developing of the forces as may be manifest through this entity, and as the entity feels these forces manifest in this manner then, taking on that strength as is taken from such manifestations, be the master OF THE FORCES and NOT MASTERED BY SAME. Using, then, the influences in the physical, spiritual, mental and material world to build that power in the phys1cal plane, for as is seen, each individual (PHYSICALLY even) drawn toward the entity feels that love, affection, as is shown in a touch, a caress, yet as entity knows, in the physical plane, same must be mastered by self rather than become one that would live from such, becoming a non-entity, but gaining in strength and power from same, same may be used to the glorification of that force. Gain, then that illustration as is seen in the Beloved who leaned on the master's breast; not that any great force, save in the MASTERFULNESS of same, may be manifested through the individual - recognizing, knowing, that all spiritual force in the physical world may be real as that of the rise and setting of the Sun to the physical eye.
