This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 14th day of January, 1928, in accordance with request made by his brother, [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the relief and improvement of same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.
3. Now, we find there are many changes in the physical forces of the body since last we had same here. There are some specifics that cause some distress or overtaxing of the system at the present time. These have more to do with indiscretions of the body than of specifics that are in need of correction; yet a specific for the conditions existent would bring an entirely different result to the physical functioning of the body, wherein there is imperfect coordination between the nerve forces of the body and the coordinating of eliminations in the body. Hence the overtaxing of system and the resultant feeling of aches - tired, stretchy, and such resultant conditions. Tendency of feeling feverish, yet cold at times.
4. To meet the needs of the conditions at this time we would prepare as this, and take the most of it too!
   To two (2) ounces of simple syrup, add:

   Compound Syrup of Sarsaparilla........1/2 ounce,
Tincture Valerian.....................1/4 ounce,
10% solution Iodide of Potassium.......20 minims,
10% solution Bromide of Potassium......10 minims,
Elixir Calisaya.......................1/4 ounce.

5. Then add to these solutions - when these are combined - one-half (1/2) ounce grain alcohol.
6. Shake solution together before the dose is taken. Take a dose about three times each day, half to three-fourths teaspoonful - either plain or in water.
7. Also have at least three to four general, thorough, manipulations - osteopathically, and we will find the digestive system, the nerve system, and the whole body responding to the medicinal properties and the coordinating of the system. Do that.
8. Keep plenty of water in the system, so that the eliminations through the body are well.
9. Exercises are good, even though mechanically given, but of the body is better. Walk more.
10. Do that as given.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Should the medicinal properties and the osteopathic treatments be taken during the same time?
    (A) During the same period. Have the medicinal properties prepared and begin at once, that this nervous condition, cold, and these tendencies towards temperature, may be dismissed from system. Manipulations - see that these coordinate and operate throughout the system.
