This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 3rd day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by her brother-in-law, Mr. [900].

TEXT

1. GC: Now you have before you the body of [140], who is located at ... 69th Street, fourth floor, New York City. You will give a mental, spiritual and physical reading, with special reference to the treatment being given the body. You will tell if the osteopathic treatments are being accorded properly, if the medicinal properties are having the proper effect, and what causes the distress to the body at times. You will also answer any questions I might ask you relative to any of these.
2. EC: Now we find many physical conditions throughout the body are improved from that as we have had here before. The conditions in the eliminations have had here before. The conditions in the eliminations have been exaggerated considerable. This has been necessary, however, to bring about the proper eliminations in the body. This in the medicinal properties should be kept for the system but in much less quantity than has been taken in times back. Instead, take from one to fifteen drops, and only increase when necessary.
3. The osteopathic vibrations as have been accorded the body are good and have responded to the conditions, even better than might have been expected under the existing conditions, but the mental has so acted with the body as to give the eliminations in the degree that has brought much change to the body.
4. The excess in secretions has been the cause of the griping in the small intestines, and this will be found to decrease with the diminishing of the amount as taken.
5. Keep the vibration of the osteopathic treatments, especially to that in the upper dorsal and lower cervical regions. This has been given in the manner that has caused the extra secretions in the lower portion of body.
6. In the mental and the spiritual, we find the body has increased much in the mental perspective in certain lines, especially in that the body is able to control to a greater extent the physical reactions in a body. In the mental forces, then, only keep these expanding forces in this line of endeavor, keeping at all times the directing forces on an even balance.
7. In the spiritual, we would give, only give that to the developing of the soul forces that the spiritual elements may magnify through the entity's endeavor, in soul, in mental, in the physical manifestations of the body. Do not allow any of the elements that would cause distress to the mental forces, either through that of anger toward any individual, or any groups, to find lodgement in the mental and soul development of the body.
8. Follow in these well and we will soon find the physical, mental and spiritual development of this body, full, complete, in this earth's plane, for the knowledge is the application of those laws that keeps the whole, whether of physical, mental, soul or spiritual, on the even keel of development, [140].
9. (Q) How much longer must medicinal and osteopathic treatments be continued?
   (A) The medicinal properties until the eliminations become of the natural eliminations from an even balanced system. This should be judged better according to the body to relax normal and nominally under the vibration of the osteopathic treatments, and these should be kept (the osteopathic treatments) until the body can relax normal under these treatments and all adjustments are made properly in the body. This is good osteopathic treatments, you see.
10. (Q) When will arm be benefited?
    (A) When the eliminations are so directed that strains in the system, produced by the poisons that were in the system in times back, are eliminated and when the muscular forces, in and about the brachial and lower cervicals, are stimulated sufficient to give the proper circulation through nerves and ligaments of brachial and shoulder region.
11. (Q) How may mental aid the treatments?
    (A) As given. Holding those mental forces that give the perfect balance throughout the system, for only with perfect correlation and coordination in the system do we find a perfect balance.
12. (Q) How should the body develop to become a better wife and mother?
    (A) This has been given, in how the body must develop in mental and spiritual forces.
13. (Q) How should she understand the bringing up of her child [143]?
    (A) Study the conditions to be met in the life's development of the child. Correlate those in action by the training as can only come from a mother. [See 143-1.]
14. (Q) What should this training be?
    (A) To meet the needs that will develop in those conditions, whether a lacking or whether an excess of conditions in the child.

2. 10/28/24 Brother-in-law Mr. [900] wrote: "[140] seems to be benefitting from her treatments but they seem [the osteopathic tr. from Grace C. Berger, D.O.] to be rather severe for her. She therefore has written you to find out if they are being properly administered."
