10/30/84 Mr. [
164]'s letter:
Dear Mrs. Turner,
When I heard from Bruce Baar recently asking about the
manufacturing process for "carbonated ash" as prescribed by
Edgar Cayce, it took me back some FIFTY YEARS. I was in
high school in Chicago at the time, and my father (Franklin)
had become very interested in the remarkable readings of Mr.
Cayce at Virginia Beach. As a chemical engineer he had set
about experimenting on methods of producing the carbon-ash
and as his "assistant" on many projects, I helped. The
final product apparently met with Mr. Cayce's approval
because we began receiving orders for capsules from all over
the country, even tho we did not advertise or prescribe it,
of course. The high aseptic standards we followed, and
modest cost, made it unprofitable, but my father felt it was
well worth it if Mr. Cayce believed it to be of genuine aid
to some of his patients. I don't remember how long we
continued its manufacture, but do recall my mother and
sisters "filling capsules" for a year or two more when I was
away in college. I was sorry not to be able to recall more
details of the process for Mr. Baar.
...Our family, with 4 children, their wives and husbands, and
8 grandchildren, just had a great reunion in San Diego.
