"Sometimes under left shoulder seems to hurt most, and I
think it is rheumatism, as sometimes it hurts between my
hips. When it does hurt between my shoulders, I feel so
tired I have to sit with my back up against a chair or
something. I also have had for years, shortness of breath.
I don't notice it so much as one would in talking to me.
That's one thing Mr. [
287] said to me, that Mr. Cayce would
help that shortness of breath. I really don't notice it
but, you see, others do. I have a lot of gas in my stomach.
I never have any trouble with my bowels; never had any with
my tonsils until now when I have colds my throat doesn't seem
sore, but my tonsils do. I often have some little hot ulcers
or swelling-like places that come on lower gums under tongue.
I have been a little worried for fear there was some on my
tonsils. That may leave when my cold is gone. I take cold
very easily. From my knees to my ankles is always coldest
part about me. In the last few years I have gotten to be
very cold natured..."
2/02/26 She verified appointment, saying: "...My cold seems
much better, also tonsils. Sores on lower gums I have had
regularly for last four to five years. I wear both lower and
upper plates, but it is not that. I have not had a blood
medicine for a long time; have not been in bed for sickness,
yet I have not been a real well woman for many a long day. I
often have an awful bad taste in my mouth. I had a mercury
rub (the last one) about four years ago. Often this taste
reminds me of that metal taste. I also have two brown dry
raised spots a little above the skin on my face. They seem a
little rough; sometimes they rather crumble or flick off
little particles after putting on salve. I believe I told
you I had lots of gas on my stomach; also asthma or shortness
of breath, and rheumatism. Seem to be losing some in weight;
seems a lot wrong with me, don't you think?"
REPORTS
2/11/26 EC wrote: "I would suggest that if you have any
trouble with this prescription, you get it filled by the
Sellers Drug Co., 4th Ave. & 20th St., Birmingham, Ala., or
by Earl Hall at Hamrick's Drug Store, Dexter Ave.,
Montgomery, Ala. Sometimes people have trouble getting these
filled, and both of these places have made a specialty of
filling these."
2/15/26 [
185]'s letter: "...It sounds a good [bit] like my
case, only I have constipation trouble and no burning
sensation when passing urine. I have had [it], but not for
past three to four years. So I will get my medicine; also
will write you from time to time..."
3/23/26 [
185]'s letter: "After I sent my prescription to be
filled, they were almost two weeks sending it, so on the
sixteenth, I started in and will take it regularly. In case
I am not where I can get violet ray after taking half my
medicine, what could I do about it? Are the machines
expensive..."
3/26/26 EC's letter: "I am sure you will find it would be
very much better for you to own one of these machines
yourself, for they are not expensive. You can get machines
[at most any drug supply house] from $9 or $1O on up, one
that I'm sure would give you the necessary vibration. It's
only necessary to attach it to the electric light, and I
believe most of the doctors charge from $2 on up for each
treatment... I hope we may have an encouraging report from
you real soon..."
5/06/26 [
185]'s letter from Kentucky: "...I have almost used
one bottle of your medicine. I have tried to take it
according to directions. I do not eat anything fried; only
for breakfast I usually eat two pieces breakfast bacon, one
egg fried; but very little meat. I have a very good
appetite. I will try to get a violet ray machine when I go
home, also get another bottle of medicine; as cannot see
scarcely any change. Of course, I'm always going, never in
bed a day, which I'm proud of..."
