This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of September, 1929, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [195].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [195] and Mr. [900], Miss Mildred Davis, and L. B. Cayce.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [195], present in this room, and the introspective experience which came to the body, also you will have the motor development at ..., O., and the drawing of new design held in hand of [195]. I will read the introspective experience as well as [195]'s interpretation of same (You will not have to repeat as I read). You will give correct interpretation of experience, and answer any questions I may ask relative to this, also answer questions concerning motor developed, as well as suggested development of new motor.
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [195]. Also those introspective experiences of the body regarding vision seen as to work or labors, also as to motor and the developments with same. Much may be given this body regarding introspective experiences. We will answer questions first.
3. (Q) In the vision as seen, I was to be given or shown that which would be my life's work, and for my best development. There appeared a tablet on which was a Greek letter (Pi). Below this there was formed a raised red cross. A voice then said, "Red Cross Engineer".
   The first suggestion coming to my mind was that it directed me to study and work on ALCHEMY. Red Cross Engineer being Rosecrucian Engineer, or Alchemist. There came a second interpretation - that Red Cross Engineer was to develop healing apparatus and appliances for the sick.
   (A) In the vision as seen - both are correct, and, as has been given respecting developments of health appliance as has been seen by this body, with development of the carrying of properties in system through the action of light rays - will be alchemy in its action, and the engineering fete accomplished by the entity - or the WORK to which the entity or body is to apply self - will be with the developments of the motor and the use of universal forces - will enable the body to understand how such is to be accomplished in the use of the same force as applied to the physical being, or as the body will be able to apply these same vibratory forces to renew within self that as is necessary for a full and complete understanding of the variations in the vibrations set in body, or as this - to study on: The senses, as are recognized in a body, are attunements in the physical body of various vibratory forces - as seeing, hearing, feeling, and the like. In this, then, the body may accomplish first in self in this direction, and then carry on for mankind, see?
4. (Q) What books to study, that [195], through better understanding, could heal his own body?
   (A) The BEST book to study would be the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th chapters as recorded by John. As for the purely mechanical study, those as are given by that one as has given the new theory of vibration. [10/26/29 See 900-458, Par. 5-A--7-A expanding on this.]
5. (Q) The present motor binds and there keeps coming to the body new gravity design - arranged so that is is impossible to bind where gear meshes. In drawing points B C & D are adjustable. Will this type work as drawn?
   (A) It will work. In the developments of those combinations, ALL will work, will they be adjusted to those angles as has been given. In drawing as seen here, these adjustments will enable the overcoming of those conditions as cause the preventing of gaining right angles in adjustment, and these should and will work.
6. (Q) Would it operate better with internal gear and pinion at B instead of Balls and Ball Races as drawn?
   (A) Better with the Ball Races than internal gear, for these would then create that of an obtuse angle in their operation.
7. (Q) In placing in position should D be placed in position such that angle B A D be 15 and 30 seconds, or in position where angle C B D be 15 and 30 seconds?
   (A) B D and C in the angle of 15 and 30 seconds.
8. (Q) C B D?
   (A) C B D.
9. (Q) Ratchet designed at C - this could be placed at B if geared - which is better location?
   (A) As drawn.
10. (Q) Any further suggestions?
    (A) Suggestions may be given as to the introspective experiences of the body. In the views of that gained by the body, while the proper attitude is being kept, let not too much levity be the outcome of the same. Not that the Forces desire other than that of the natural expressions, but remember - these, in their personality, are still expressive of their personality - so that the individual, in receiving, in accepting, in the application of that given, must be kept in attunement to that being received. In these changes, then, there will be found there will be more of those that are in accord with that desired to be OBTAINED by the body under the varied circumstance. Then, do not have those that are of other than that field in which endeavors are to be made giving that as is being sought. Why not seek counsel of Lincoln in state, rather than those of Grady who only sought or knew portion? and in THIS manner may the body develop self, and why not in healing gain the access to the Great Physician, rather than to one who is encompassed with their own frailties? Hence, in seeking, seek in that field from which the best may be obtained.
11. That is all the questions.
12. Study well, then, that line that begins, "Within my Father's house are many mansions - and know that greater things than I do ye shall do, if ye abide in me and I in Him."
