This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of September, 1925, in accordance with request made by Mr. [953].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are conditions with this body that may be assisted and relieved to a great extent. The physical forces as we see that cause the distress is produced by complication of conditions in the physical functioning of the body, and the general debilitation as is produced then causes different conditions to arise from time to time.
3. Then, we would find that it would be necessary to build in the general way, and in the changes from time to time build those various conditions that are to be rebuilded in system to bring the normal forces for the body.
4. These, then, are conditions as we find them in this body, Mrs. [206], we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find overcharged with toxins, and the pressure as produced in system is produced through the plethoric condition as is produced in the various portions of system as affected by this condition.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find many of the centers in cerebrospinal system disarranged, or subluxations producing the distresses in the system, attempting to create an equilibrium. Then, in these centers specific, with others as a reflex: In the 3rd and 4th cervical, 7th, 8th and 9th dorsal, in the 4th lumbar and in the coccyx. Hence the nerve condition as is produced in the various portions of the functioning of the body.
7. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, the distresses as produced through sensory system are of the nature that the general system must be rebuilded first, before these specific conditions could receive any lasting improvement through those functionings of that portion of body.
8. In lungs and in larynx, the blood condition produces these distresses rather than organic troubles.
9. The heart enlarged. Hence the distresses as produced at times.
10. The digestive system fails to produce the assimilation of the foods taken. Hence the indigestions that are of different characters in the body. At times a digestion that disturbs the organism of stomach proper. Again the liver and hepatic circulation involved. Again the intestinal tract and colon involved. Hence inflammations produced at times through the organs of digestion.
11. Spleen engorged, as is liver, through the plethoric condition of circulation in various portions of body. Then the lower portion of system suffers from these deflections as produced through the locomotories and the lower portion of body.
12. Then, to bring the normal forces, first we would do this for the body: After this whole quantity of medicinal properties are taken, and at least sixteen adjustments, chiropractically given, we would then give further information for the various portions of the body. This [mixture of] the medicinal properties:

    Syrup of Sarsaparilla......................2 ounces,
Elixir Wild Cherry.........................2 ounces,
Extract (Fluid Extract)
Stillingia............................1/2 ounce,
Fluid Extract Poke-Root..................1/4 ounce,
Fluid Extract Yellow Dock Root...........1/2 ounce,
Fluid Extract Black Snake Root, or
Black Root............................1/2 ounce,
Elixir Calisaya..........................1/2 ounce,
Essence of Peppermint.....................10 minims,
Sufficient simple syrup to make...........16 ounces.

    The dose would be teaspoonful four times each day.
13. Let the diet be directed by the operator of the adjustments, for this assimilation must be more perfected in system. Do that, and when these have been given, we would give further instructions from here.
