BACKGROUND

  1. 9/09/30 He obtained 218-1 for tuberculosis which he had suffered since 1925, bedridden and in serious condition.
  2. 11/06/30 He wrote: "I have been patiently waiting and biding my time to carry out your physical suggestions. I sent your rdg. to Mr. [257] who has found a country home for me in Denver, Colorado [Denver Home for Tuberculars], where I can have all the advantages you wished me to have. I would be ever grateful to you if you can arrange to give me a ck. rdg. so that we can get started on this proposition at once if it should come out favorably in the rdg. Mr. [257] and I are leaving it entirely to your ck. rdg."
