11/02/22 Wife wrote EC to B'ham, from Montgomery, Ala: "Since
your rdgs. here, we have tried the prescription for Mr. [
226]
conscientiously, and with some good results, but there has
probably been something of a misunderstanding somewhere,
probably on the part of the stenographer, for as we
understood it the ingredients have been very carefully gotten
and mixed, but the medicine sours before being used. As
there is quite enough alcohol in it to preserve it, I feel
sure there is something wrong...
"Dr. Elise L. Stone [N.D.] has written you and tried to reach
you by phone, too, to say that there are several people here
(3 or 4) who want a rdg., and would like you to come...
"Have listed the questions for your or Mr. Jones' convenience
[GD's note: Possibly W. L. Jones of Selma, Ala. conducted
the former rdg. for her husband?], and trust it will be
possible for you to do this for me right away... Hoping you
and your co-worker are both well, and that you will be
blessed in this great work, for I think you are given a great
power for a great work and will do it."
REPORTS
12/05/22 Wife obtained ck. physical rdg.
226-2 for him, which
indicated that he was at the point of death, from
complications with pneumonia (?).
