This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 5th day of December, 1922, in accordance with request made by Mr. [226]'s wife.

TEXT

1. EC: The body is very close to the dividing line, the temperature and congestion both to the brain and to the action through the hepatics are about to sever the cord. [Silver cord] [Eccl. 12:6]
2. We would, to give ease and to give the chances for the body to relieve the pain, rather than by that which has been applied, prepare a poultice for the lower end of the stomach and across the liver and duodenum, that of onions boiled, see, and also apply that along the thyroids, bathing the spine every once in a while with pure grain alcohol, and let the air as breathed carry benzosol in vapor form, see.
3. Do that immediately. We are through.

BACKGROUND

1. 11/09/22 Wife obtained for him rdg. 226-1 for apoplexy, diabetes, etc.
2. 12/05/22 She requested advice for what appeared to be complications with pneumonia.

REPORTS

1. GD's note: Through Dr. Elise L. Stone, EC heard that Mr. [226] did die, but that the advice in the reading eased him and made his breathing better toward the last.
2. 2/26/25 Mr. [226]'s wife referred a friend for a rdg., also saying: "I have been threatening to write you about one or two business requests, since Mr. [4646] tells me that now you also give more rdgs. of that nature than formerly."
3. 3/23/25 Mr. [226]'s wife wrote she was interested in having a Physical Rdg. for her sister and a Horoscope Rdg. for herself, saying: "I have every confidence in the work you are doing."
4. 6/06/25 A genealogist wrote saying that Mr. [226]'s wife had requested that he seek EC's aid in researching the genealogy of Mrs. [...]'s family. EC ans'd that he had never tried anything of that nature.
5. 2/48 Routine mailing to Mrs. [...] was ret'd marked ADDRESS UNKNOWN.
