(Q) Was my activity before the Board of Tax Appeals on April
19th satisfactory?
(A) Satisfactory; as also the meeting with the State
authorities.
Hence the only warning in respect to same is that there is
not advantage taken by some parties interested in OBTAINING
the whole organization, under the existent conditions - see?
With the financiers, or the bankers, as we find, this may be
avoided - or through those channels.
We are through for the present.

BACKGROUND
2/10/33 He obtained a Physical and Business Rdg.
228-5.
4/21/33 He submitted further questions as to results of
appearing before Tax Appeals Board in D.C. as advised in
228-5, and requested additional suggestions.
REPORTS
6/20/33 He sent a contribution, saying: "We have had all
kinds of ups and downs with the business of the Industries,
but have not yet thrown up the sponge. We have put up a
thousand dollars with the Government as an offer in
compromise on that old 1928 tax case, and it may be possible
that they will accept that and forget the other nine thousand
that they desire. This is kind of in line with my suggestion
to them at Washington, Jacksonville, and the local office
here."
6/03/34 He wrote: "Business is kind of up and down here -
mostly down. The rejuvenated ... Products, Inc. (formerly
... Industries, Inc.) is just trailing along by the hardest,
and I have not yet been able to feel confident about their
future. Their Moses has not yet come to the front."
9/18/34 He obtained
228-7 on one of his inventions.
8/08/35 He wrote: "I remained with ... Products, Inc. a full
year after their reorganization, and it really looked like
they were not going to get anywhere with the line up they
had... I understand now they have given several outside
groups options to buy out major portions of their business...
Some six months ago I pulled out and have been working for
the ... Works ever since... Whether or not I made a good
change may be somewhat doubtful, as our business has not been
particularly encouraging."
2/18/36 He obtained Business Rdg.
228-8 on his new work as
branch manager since Jan. 1st of a credit and finance corp.
