(Q) Why the blur over my eyes at times?
(A) Those pressures in the secondary cardiac plexus area;
that, and remember - the body ISN'T as young as it used to
be! In the eliminations, we will find that those carrying
away of the used forces will assist in clarifying these
conditions. Would be well, too, that occasionally - once or
twice each week, before retiring (and be sure it's after a
thorough treatment with the vibrator so the body won't wake
up!), apply a poultice of OLD Irish potato, well scraped,
bandage over eyes and let remain until morning - see? then
wash same with a weak solution of an antiseptic for the
system. THIS will clarify same.
Also we will find that these properties used as drops
occasionally in the eye will ASSIST in clarifying same: A
little soda and a little salt in about three times the
quantity of water, see?
(Q) Why the tight feeling in head at times?
(A) This, as has been given, is from those centers in the
dorsal area that have tightened up by the pressures, and that
bringing to the STOMACH of an ACID condition in the blood,
and those forces in the LYMPH that make for that in the head
and soft tissue of face - see? The snuffing of Dobell's
solution would be well, into head, to clarify head.
That is all the questions.
Cream of Tartar, Salt and Soda - equal parts; five times part
water, with this luke warm, snuffed into the nostrils, or
used as a gargle, will clarify the mucus membranes, will ease
the head PRESSURE, and noise as comes from LYMPH pressure -
as it does in THIS body - see? We are through with this
reading.

2/10/32 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg.

7/12/49 Mrs. S. W. McComb reported that she had used the
Irish potato poultice as recommended in 243-11, Par. 11-A,
and in
1963-1, with good results. "I also washed out eyes
with solution of salt and soda according to the directions.
The condition of my eyes was most extreme and no permanent
relief from previous medical treatments. About twice a year
I use the potato poultice as a precaution. My eyes are now
much better in every way."
7/13/49 Samuel E. Benesch wrote: "A combination of 1
teaspoonful baking soda, salt and Cream of Tartar in 1 pint
of water has been inhaled by me each morning, by immersing
the nose in solution, since I read the extract from 243-11
about a year ago. The nasal membranes shrink and the sinus
is flushed. This solution is extremely good for 'waking up'
when cold water is used." [243-11, Par. 12-A]
9/23/60 Mrs. Ruth Berkshire reported in re Irish potatoes:
"When I was a little girl I picked up a beautiful case of
what was later diagnosed as pink-eye. We lived 20 miles from
town and doctor, (a two day round trip by horse and buggy) in
a remote and rugged area of California. Morning after
morning it was becoming more difficult for me to get my eyes
'unglued'. The day that I couldn't get them open and the
grownups had to take over with a combination of worry,
patience, wash cloths and warm water, some other adult was
there and she (or he) suggested grinding? up quite a few raw
potatoes for a poultice to be tied over my eyes when I went
to bed.
"I can well remember waking up still wearing my cold and
clammy poultice and being able to open my eyes when it was
removed and at how GOOD my eyes felt. But I can't remember
whether Mother repeated the treatment once more or not, but I
do know that the potato poultice cleared up the infection
practically over night."
7/14/61 Mrs. Sylvia Bronowski of 1901 E. Roosevelt, Phoenix,
Arizona:
"I am very grateful to Edgar Cayce and his readings for
helping me out when I had such pain in the eyes. I used
grated raw potatoes - made a pack for over eyelids for 1 hr.
a day. This reduced the redness and swelling considerably
and improved vision. I applied this several times. Plus my
own inner promptings of baking soda (1/2 to 1 teaspoonful
mornings) alkalized my system in relieving the body of
foreign irritants (and eyes also)."
