This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Artic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of April, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self, through her sister, Mrs. [340], Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Carrie S. House and Hugh Lynn Cayce.

Time and Place: 7:15 to 7:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tenn.
(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [243].
  2. As we find, there are acute conditions mentally and physically; owing to the surrounding conditions mentally.
  3. Physically we find there are those conditions that have produced a catch, or a muscular strain - that is rather serious.
  4. It in the present then will require quiet, heat, or electric pads, with the painting with a solution of three parts Laudanum to one part Aconite, and then the application of Epsom Salts Packs over same. Keep warm with electric pads.
  5. There will be required also some adjustments osteopathically. Massage osteopathically, gently, the whole of the spinal system, then across the area where the muscular bound forces are exhibited or shown.
  6. For the reactions internally, prepare a compound in this manner:
  7. To 2 ounces of Compound Simple Syrup as the carrier, add:

      Grain Alcohol (Pure)..................1/2 ounce,
      Tincture of Valerian....................1 ounce,
      Elixir of Calisaya....................1/2 ounce,
      10% solution Iodide of Potassium.......10 minums,
      10% solution Bromide of Potassium.....1/4 ounce.

  8. The dose would be half a teaspoonful every hour until quiet. Shake the solution before taking same.
  9. Do this as we find in the present.
  10. Ready for questions.

  2. 4/06/37 She wired for 304-49 for her father, saying a fire had swept them out completely and he was slightly burned, no insurance.
  3. 4/11/37 Sister [340] phoned saying their father [304] had died, that [243] was holding him up in the bathroom when he collapsed; consequently [243] was in bed with locked bowels and wished a Ck. Rdg. at once.
