10/15/24 Letter from Morton H. Blumenthal: "...I am
enclosing a letter from Mr. Charles Meyer, whose address is
27 William Street, New York City. He is an attorney and I
am trying to interest him in the formation of a syndicate or
corporation of which you would be president and own 1/2 of
the stock. This corporation would take and sell your
manuscripts, or better publish a monthly magazine known,
say, as the 'Psychic Review,' to include articles and
stories by yourself. Those who are now being considered for
this corporation are:
1. Edgar Cayce - president and writer
2. Merryle Rukeyser - editor
3. Charles Meyer - lawyer
4. Max Shuster - publisher
5. Morton Blumenthal - business and financial
6. David Kahn - advertising and business
"We are anxiously awaiting your first story and desire to
read it at your very earliest convenience. Please allot some
time in the near future to read on this work which I believe
will bring you financial success. If possible send a comedy,
an adventure story and a thrilling love story all three
original. A big order - but it means money so go to it! The
profits of the stories or paper will of course be put in a
surplus account to be split up on the stock. You will
receive a monthly amount from the profits for your work,
of course, exactly as in any other business. As soon as you
send your stories for us to read I will come to Dayton to
arrange this with you or you can come here to talk with the
entire board..."
