This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 13th day of April, 1925, in accordance with wire request made by his mother, Mrs. [325].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, giving the cause of the conditions existing in this body, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer any questions relative to this body that I will ask you.
2. EC: Now we find much difference in the body at the present from that when we have had this here before. The present conditions, though some better at the present time, are acute conditions arising from conditions of which the body has been warned, and which have not been cared for in the manner as has been outlined for same.
3. With the taxing of the physical abilities, with the congestion not being eliminated in a full nominal manner, then the body taking on those properties in diet that brought the special or specific congestion in the eliminating and assimilating system, this produced further congestion in the tissue and lymph producing cells and glands, affecting many of the glands of the body, causing inflammation in same.
4. Circulation above normal, producing temperature, by conditions not being eliminated properly; producing nausea, headaches and the reflex from same like chills or congestion in body; soreness in all mucous membranes that are used more than normal.
5. While the eliminations have been set in motion, and the body has become relieved somewhat from immediate strain and condition at the present time, these conditions need to be looked after carefully, that the retraction may be in a nominal, normal way.
6. Well that the inhalant as was given aforetime be resumed, and the body inhale these properties at least twice each day, night and morning, if not oftener; oftener when possible. [See 257-7.]
7. Watch the diet closer, being more in that of the things necessary for correct assimilation, not taxing the system but being consistent with time of eating, not over crowding with too much acids or too much alkalines, but rather the well balanced diet for the body; taking more of the adjustments as have been given, while there will be found more congestion in the region of the dorsal that affects the eliminating system, in the hepatics and especially in kidneys and in liver; then taking regular exercise in the open.
8. Well that the body play more, else the work will be found less. [See 257-217 on 3/01/40 saying "I told you so."]
9. And keep in the way and manner as has been outlined for the body.
10. As to that specifically to be taken in the body at the present time, we would give as this: Though, should the body start with eliminations in proper form before this has reached the body, well to consider condition of system and follow the manipulation and light rays, with diet and consistent mode of living for the condition, than to over- load system again with cathartics, but these would be the properties needed at the present time.
11. This as one dose:

    Prodophyllum..............1/2 grain,
Leptandrin..................1 grain,
Sanguinaria.................1 grain,
Yellow Saffron..............1 grain,
(Best this be powdered and then prepared with the
other properties)
Licorice Compound.........1/2 grain.

12. This would be compounded together and taken as one dose. Three doses would be necessary to get the proper reaction in the liver, intestines and throughout the eliminating system. Follow in those things that have been outlined for the body, would the best be brought to this body, [257].
13. (Q) Which particular instructions that were given before have not been carried out properly?
    (A) Manipulations and care and attention in diet, and in the mode of the labors.
14. (Q) What particular food caused this acute condition?
    (A) Too much acids from spiced foods.
15. (Q) How many more manipulations should the body take?
    (A) Until the response is in a correct assimilation in the system, and eliminations set normal. Three to five we find would be necessary.
16. (Q) What would be a specific diet for this body until these conditions are corrected?
    (A) Whole wheat bread, toasted. Gruels or porridge of any cereal that carries high protein values. Soft boiled eggs, and the stimulants of warm milk, or little coffee. No teas.

2. 4/24/25 He wrote: "Just a brief note today to acknowledge rdg. and thank you for same and tell you that I am again on my feet and in the office. I am now taking your advice and taking things much easier than I have been and will continue to do so for a few weeks anyway." [He referred Mr. [3733] for a rdg.]
3. 4/29/25 He wrote: "A few lines to you tonight to tell you I feel better again... [He reported on the family - 325-6, 563-1, 460-1.]
   "I was down for two weeks. I had the worst throat I ever had and was generally worn out. I took the tablets, inhaled the preparations, took 3 osteopathic treatments and fume baths as you directed, and sun baths, and I feel lOO% better, and I am resting more now also." [He reported on Mr. [551] and Miss [4522].]
4. 5/21/25 He requested 4171-1 for his boss.
5. 6/10/25 He wrote: "Your rdg. on Miss [3813] was splendid. In fact, every rdg. that you give to me is that way.
   "I feel very much better now and am taking things very much like you directed and I hope that the next time you give me a going over, you will find me in perfect condition."
6. 6/11/25 He referred Miss [3784] for a rdg.
7. 6/22/25 He referred Mr. [4363] for a rdg.
8. 6/30/25 He referred Mrs. [3916].
9. 8/24/25 He requested 325-8 for his mother.
