EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [257]; this we have had before, with many of those conditions that confront the body - both as to aspirations and obligations.
Ready for questions.
(Q) What can I do to make ends meet and bring to a successful termination the various situations upon which I have been working during Nov. and Dec. 1933?
(A) As we find, there will be required the continued effort on the part of the body in meeting the varied situations as they arise, in relationship to the contracts, the orders, the various channels necessary.
As has been pointed out to the body, there should be - at the various stages of development, in the varied activities of the body - more of a concentrated effort, as well as (if the body would harken) more CONSECRATED effort in many directions.
(Q) Please give me guidance into the proper channel for my 1934 work, giving me the proper working chart for the proper use of my time each day.
(A) There are confusions in the mental and material associations of the body. These should first be regulated in the activities of the body. This has been pointed out often, yet there has been allowed to arise and to come into the experience (with the manner in which many of the connections and associations have been made) rather more and more confusion, than a correctly organized and systematized activity on the part of the body.
To be sure, this is in a general manner - but, as seen by the body, in any regulated or organized activity of an office or an organization there is a place for everything; and those things that relate to the various activities in any particular department or phase are kept classified and not jumbled one into the other, else the activity is not very well regulated - neither can the correct attitude and notations be depended upon to be given when sought or asked for, unless such a classification and such regulation is made in such affairs.
So, in the body's activities in the varied relationships that have been the outcome of varied connections made, often (as the body has been warned) one association or connection is allowed to interfere or to lap over - such that the body becomes confused mentally and in the physical activity so as to be recurring continually or going over and over much that should have been either discarded long since as untenable or else brought to a close or known the reason why. Such confusion and disruption is tiring out the efforts of the body.
Then, in preparing self for the varied activities in the coming year, it would be well that the body take the time to take stock with self, to classify the varied associations and connections that have been given and - as the information has oft been given respecting these varied connections - classify them so that these may be turned to not only in the mind but PHYSICALLY, so that less confusion and less distortion (not meaningly) will be in the expressions respecting prospects and those things that may be depended or relied upon. And, as the body becomes more reliant in self, the associations will come to rely greater and more and more upon the body and the body's abilities. For, when disorder and confusion are in the body's own making, and in the manner in which the body is handling the various associations and connections, it not only creates in self the lack of confidence but DOUBLY so in the associations. While the abilities are not lacking, while the associations and connections are not broken off, WHY CONFUSE self with so many connections that should have either been gotten or closed long, long ago?
Hence the proper way and manner, as it were, is to take stock and to classify, to sort out the good from the bad, and set self - in its own mental and material associations - to work out those that are worthy of being considered. And don't keep hanging on to those that are not worth considering.
(Q) What steps should now be taken to get Carolina Wood Products financed sufficiently for me and my associate Gilbert Morris of Asheville, N. C., Vice-president of Wachovia Bank, to buy and operate the factory?
(A) As has been given. This is a wonderful illustration of what has just been given. If the body is to accept or expect information through these channels for the conducting of the associations in this connection, or if the body is to insist that other sources supply other character of information for self respecting this connection, the body itself must choose. But there has been given already through these sources HOW the association is to be made with this organization, if it is not to become a burden rather than a way of meeting many situations.
That the body may aid the friend Morris in making the connections for the financing of the organization may be true, but then do not represent same as the body operating under the same sort of arrangement. For such statements (As many that are made by the body from time to time, in seeking information, in seeking associations and relations), while not wholly mis-stating facts, tend to mislead the thinking - or honest thinking - individuals that might be interested in same.
As to how MORRIS may finance the proposition would be quite different from how [257] might finance such an organization. If it is the desire that the body [257] be in the organization and responsible for the running of the plant, the paying of the laborers or workers in same, we would advise to seek other channels than here. If [257] is to handle the product OF the plant, we may consider what we have already given.
As for Morris doing the financing, let MORRIS seek and we may give it!
This may be done, of course, either through those channels that the government is opining (partially) or through the preparation of the local places, the local surroundings, for the opening of an activity for the whole city. But this should be done by Morris; NOT by [257]! [257] should be as the representative for the distribution, and in this manner may aid but DO NOT, or we would not give information to lay self liable for the running of the plant. Unless it is to be bought OUTRIGHT by self, and that would be a different story - and that isn't what he wants and never has sought it! Then, don't misrepresent it!
(Q) As to the Washington situation, what has delayed the oft promised water cooler contract that Lewis has been working on?
(A) The appropriations being given into the various channels, and the attempt to determine as to just what portions. And owing to the weather, WHERE there has been the intention or appropriation of putting such into service, the deal has been held off. See? Why put an ice cooler in the Oregon camp or in the Michigan camp, or in Saskatchewan, or in Maine or New York camps, when they're already frozen up? There's some consistency even with SOME government men!
(Q) Why has Lewis said the contract has been okayed, yet daily he promises its final closing and we hear nothing?
(A) It HAS been okayed, but the distributions for the various places, camps and forts have NOT been ordered!
But, as indicated, this should be shelled as a possibility - with all things being done - and forget it, and then when it comes it'll be just that much (for his own parlance) gravy!
(Q) Will I ultimately be successful in working direct on the staff of Foreign Vintages, or should I definitely turn down the idea, or what should I do to bring it to a definite head?
(A) This again has been outlined rather minutely as to what are the possibilities in this direction, for this organization. It would be very well for [257] to take stock with himself respecting just this association, this understanding, and know that even the acts of self in the information received - and the manner in which it has been handled - have been a stumbling block to the receiving or of being put in the position! And yet the information as to how and what should be done has been in his own hands! What causes this? The attitude. The approach. The way and manner.
Then, if [257] will prepare himself for the position of knowing, understanding the varied relationships that exist or are to exist in the various states, or various districts, or various combinations of states as districts, the way it is to be handled or maybe handled, or can be handled under the supervision of the laws and provisions that are being prepared, then he may be in the position of one on the staff. But, unless preparation by self is made, and a clarification or qualifying of self, it'll be passed over!
These specifications are being made; they have not all been made, and those at the head and those handling these things - if these are to be taken seriously - DO NOT overlap by just putting men in positions! See? But if there is the association that would build to same, and show that self is qualified to meet the situation in the way and manner outlined for the handling of such associations, in the distribution, in the activities of those that would be in the various positions, then well and good!
(Q) What will be the result of Paris Medicine claim being definitely placed in hands of Senator Reid, of Kansas City, Mo.?
(A) Do not expect any definite returns in at least six months to two years. By then there may be a DEFINITE answer. As to what the outcome will be will depend upon many varied situations. We would not give.
(Q) Should I consider McRoberts' suggestion of attempting to merge Paris Medicine and raise the capital in London thru Mr. Hall Keyes of #1 Wall Street?
(A) Consider rather what has been given respecting this, as to what has constituted and does constitute a claim. If this is existent, if this in bonafide, if this is in shape, if those handling same are qualified in the way and manner that has been pointed out respecting same, then know that - as has been given - would be the result. Cause and effect work, when there are definite laws to be followed. When policy and feelings of individuals enter in, remember you have left the law. And remember the Jew is the stickler for law, rather than mercy.
(Q) To whom could I sell the International Proprietary Co. of Toronto for five million dollars cash at once in the United States?
(A) We do not find such an animal! Not that there are not those that are interested or capable of handling same, but there are portions that may be had or handled with the Pure Food Drug Company and others to the United Drug Company, or the products that are handled or maintained that are of the household character that are instituted by such an organization as the Pure Food Drug. This doesn't mean the Pure Food Drug Act, but as the Standard Oil - if he wants it by the name! But some of those included in this won't pass the new test! That's why there isn't such a one that would take it flat!
(Q) Reference Cochon Colvo & Co. of Calle Padre Bellini, #10 Santa Domingo (distillers), please advise me how to begin with them, kind of contract to enter into, and what the possibilities are for sale of goods in this country?
(A) Take the representatives in the same people that are the leaders in the shippings of that particular district in Barcelone, and there may be made through those the connections wherein there would he the leading to an association. But isn't the body confusing self with some of the other things he has asked, regarding other connections? Is this for self, or is it for some one else? Then, don't confuse self with it. But these as we find, owing to their place, their position, their connection - that is, from the Santa Domingo deliveries, see? though they are manufactured mostly from the Barcelone activity - may be had in that imported into the country - and will stand when the regulations are soon given out respecting the quantity that may be meted to be sent from the various portions of the county. Hence such a connection is to be sought, or to be desired but don't overstep self in trying to get it for self and then sell it to some one else! Either work fair with those whom you're getting it for, or take the whole burden yourself!
(Q) Consider my various interests for January, which one should bring me quickest financial relief?
(A) Seeing that there are the proper precautions taken in the delivery for the last order taken on the barrels and on vintage also - but that it is in order when it is delivered to those that have ordered - and that the acceptances are made. These would bring the quicker relief, unless we consider the activities of others with whom the body is associated - and with these, of course, the body only has to wait. But in the activities of self, the barrels will bring the quickest.
(Q) What can be done on the Croft Brewing Company order to keep the barrels sold?
(A) The proper precaution in the manufacture and in the containers, or the manner in which they are delivered to the brewery. They'll go through, if both are working coordinatingly!
(Q) Please review my horoscope for 1934, and advise me as to days and months for success.
(A) First look within self. Know that the days, the months and the periods that will influence the body should be used as stepping-stones and not as something to rely on. Not as the base or the foundation upon which any soul would build either a mental, a material or a soul development, but as self builds into the spiritual elements of self so may EACH day, EACH month, EACH period, be turned into that which may bring peace, joy, happiness, contentment to the body. But unless the foundation is built properly, and if the dependence is put on days or seasons or years alone, and that alone is the basis and that "it should come", then it'll be a poor coming - and you'll have to be satisfied with the strippings rather than the milk.
Then, those periods when the best may come are the periods when the self has looked within self the most, and when self is at peace with his neighbor, his brother, his God - and you will find those the best days, the best weeks, the best months, the best years!
