TEXT

1. GC: You will give the present physical condition of this body, with suggestions for corrective measures, giving the cause of the existing conditions, and answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. Now as we find, disturbances gave become somewhat more acute, - through the non-conformity, in a consistent manner, to those suggestions and warnings that have been given for the body.
4. And these kept under constant strain causes the lymph through the alimentary canal to produce, in the straining in portions of the system there, the loss of blood at times.
5. This is NOT a growth, but the condition will GROW upon the body unless there ARE those administrations and those precautions as to diet, as to general activity, and as to the whole of the physical reactions of the body.
6. In the present, then, as we find:
7. It is well that these be either adhered to, so that there may be the full reactions, or don't DO ANY OF IT! For the reactions are worse when there is a breaking over, either in meats or the character of meats as indicated, or any of the products of hops or the like, or even certain carbonated waters, - all tend to produce this condition through the system. REFRAIN FROM THESE!
8. We would take, daily, preferable of evening before retiring, two ounces of Saffron Tea. This would be made in the proportions of a teaspoonful of the American Saffron to a pint of boiling water, - which would be poured over same and allowed to steep as tea. This should be kept in the ice box after it is prepared, and may be kept for two days, - that is, so that two ounces would be taken one day, and two ounces the next; but do not keep it longer than that. Make it fresh every third day, then, you see.
9. Do not take more or less at a time, either of this or of the other properties we will indicate, else it may cause greater disturbance than help.
10. Each morning, before any meal is taken, stir a pinch of elm (slippery elm bark, you see, ground very fine) in a glass of water and let it stand for about ten to fifteen minutes before it is taken. Only fix this each time as it is to be taken, see? Now, a pinch means between the thumb and forefinger; do not take more or less than that! Take it AS indicated!
11. The REST will be helpful to the body.
12. Then, the diet:
13. Fruits, vegetables, - grown wherever the body is active, you see; especially the leafy vegetables, and of those natures that supply the vital forces for energizing the system.
14. Take the massage and cleanse the colon about once every two to three weeks.
15. These as we find will bring the better forces for this body, [257].
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) Should any meat of any kind be taken?
    (A) As has been given, fish, fowl or lamb - well-cooked.
18. (Q) What exercise should be taken while at the beach?
    (A) Just on the beach, no violent exercise.
The pains across the abdomen, as well as those indicated in the extremities of the body, are the effects of poisons loosened in the system by strains that cause blood through the stool, see?
Hence those applications for corrective measures as to the digestive system, and as active principles to aid in healing through the alimentary canal - as indicated.
    Do those.
19. We are through for the present.

2. 1/08/40 He submitted questions, saying:
"Well, here I am back in Chicago. I had a terrible r.r. trip and did not feel at all well. We were busy from the moment I arrived and that did not help. I know [903] told you about Fla. and our trip. It would require a month for me to really rest. I wish you would ck. me if possible. I know I've got to take care and also do something.
"I took the Saffron tea, also the elm bark, as prescribed, but I didn't know how long. I'll take a colonic one day this wk. and a rub down also."
3. 1/12/40 He obtained 257-215.
