(Q) Please give me an outline to follow for best business
development with due consideration to my mental and spiritual
development?
(A) This has been given so often that the question becomes
absurd.
As indicated, there must be a budgeting of time. Take time
to recuperate, physically, mentally and spiritually; not
merely by outward saying. For, if these are not done for
this entity, as well as any other entity, the entity becomes
either self-centered or lopsided in his estimates or values
in a material or life experience. Take time to be holy.
Take time to pray. Take time to rest, to study, to be an
associate with individuals, to have the proper associates.
Take time to work, and work like the devil when you are
working at it! But, as ye profess, keep HOLY in the service
of God and man.
(Q) According to my Life reading [
257-10] I am to enter
politics at some period of my later life. Is that to be
recommended now and to be accomplished, or should I confine
myself only to business?
(A) As indicated, these activities are to come from
associations with those connected with reconstruction in
other lands.
(Q) Should I plan to own a furniture factory to make radios
and cabinets or to contract as in the past; if so, advise
procedure?
(A) As has been indicated.
(Q) Should I plan to remain in Scarsdale for
1944-45, in
same house?
(A) This depends upon whether there is to be the purchasing
of other properties, as a farm or home, or as to what the
decisions are. The environs of Scarsdale are very good,
especially for the children. But for self, Washington, or
near those environs would be better. This is dependent upon
whether the children would be in other types of schools or
had rather finish in their present environs. We would change
both of them to specific directions in other schools, and
then it would be a change for self - if desired. [GD's note:
In the spring of 1945 he moved his family back into New York
City.]
(Q) Advise me how Hugh Lynn Cayce can be ordered back to
U.S. for duty.
(A) By or through any of the channels that deal with that
particular type of activity in the land, or those that
prepare or give specific instructions or training for those
in Special Service activities; or in the use of the
individual in other or specific activities that would require
service only in the U.S.A.
(Q) Through what department is this done?
(A) What department is desired? The department for the
present activities would be that having to do with the
training of those for Special Service in other lands.
(Q) Who is the officer who can do it?
(A) Who is in charge or at the head of such, that the entity
is associated or acquainted with?
(Q) Is this advisable?
(A) This is advisable if that is the desire of the body, but
don't mess it up!
(Q) Is the prophecy still possible of fulfillment, of May,
1941, that war against Germany will end in the spring of '44?
(A) This will end in the spring of '44. [3/57 GD's note:
The 1950 World Almanac indicates that Hitler was wounded in
an attempted assassination July 20, 1944. It is possible
that this planned assassination was seen. If it had gone
through, war would have ended immediately - long before the
invasion.]
(Q) When will the war with Japan end?
(A) It will be much later, but more sudden in its close.
[First atomic bomb was dropped on Japan August 6, 1945, the
second atomic bomb was dropped August 9, 1945. Japan
surrendered August 14, 1945.]
We are through for the present.

257-253.
12/15/43 He submitted further questions, saying he was at
home sick with a cold.
REPORTS
12/28/43 Mr. [
257] wrote: "...My neck is still pretty stiff
and I have been to Reilly's twice but I will follow the
reading I have just received and will be better soon, I am
sure..."
1/09/44 He referred [
3536] for
3536-1.
1/25/44 Mr. [
257]'s letter to EC: "...It does seem funny the
experiences you and I have had. We work our heads off for
years trying to get a regular number of readings coming down
to you and now we do a right about to see how many we can
keep away. Man proposes but God surely disposes. I know you
are approaching this as humbly as possible and I, too, want
to do the same..."
5/16/44 He referred [
5093] for
5093-1.
6/22/44 Mr. [
257]'s letter to EC: "...From the business
standpoint, many things have happened in government circles
with Gen. Somervell, Gen. Corbin and others which have
carried out the prophecies which were made to me before Pearl
Harbor. I have had letters about you this week from Texas,
California, Washington and Oklahoma and a number from
different parts of this state, so you can see I have a lot of
things which I would like to bring to the attention of our
friends, but I will have to withhold them until another
meeting when we can all be present again..."
6/29/44 He referred [
5310] for
5310-1.
3/08/68 GD's note: During all these years Mr. [
257] has been
active in A.R.E. and a loyal supporter of EC's work.
Today,
3/08/68, he was operated on (for the third time) for
removal of a section of the intestines or colon.
3/09/68
Doctors were having him walk around in the hospital. This
time he knows the condition is malignant, but he is cheerful,
optimistic as usual.
6/14/68 He wrote: "...The day after my nine hour siege I
was on my feet walking the corridors, and three days later I
could have gone home, but minus one-half of the upper
intestines and feeling wonderful. They kept me twenty-three
days. Then a month in Atlantic City with son (Dr. [
759]),
and a week with son ([
773]), at Montauk, and I feel as I did
in 1924 when I came to N.Y..."
12/03/68 P.M. Nell Clairmonte heard from Dan Livingston that
[
257] was sick again - was having liver trouble, had turned
yellow. Asked all to pray for him.
12/08/68 HLC reported: "[
257] died yesterday, 3:30 P.M. He
had only been sick about a week. He had undergone several
surgical operations through the years on his intestines - the
last one definitely cancerous, but thought they had it all.
He was active, cheerful and optimistic as always. The
condition seemed to turn to his liver, and his color became
yellow - though he did not suffer. At noon on Saturday,
December 7, 1968 he went into a coma and at 3:30 he died."
