TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [261]; this we have had before, with the physical, the mental, the material associations.
2. In the physical forces of the body, [See previous readings on gastritis.] we find in many respects conditions are satisfactory, yet there are some disturbances that bring anxiety to the body as relating to disturbances of the nature that have at times become rather alarming. These are more anxieties than pathological conditions, yet the variations that have been coming and do come in the affectations in these directions do disturb.
3. We would not alter materially those suggestions that have been made as respecting how, or the manner in which, the better physical forces may be made manifest. True, there should be greater precautions as to the matter of the diet and of the outdoor or the nominal exercises of the body; these we find where the body can or does, through the activities of the physical body, make - as it were - for a tiredness, or physical energies used. Not to such an extent as to become overtired so that it calls upon the nervous energies of the sympathetic system, but to become physically tired and the normal reactions for the diet at such times are better than the times that the body forces itself to eat this or that, that it may supply energies of certain natures for the body. These bring rather periods when that fullness or the overanxiety through the assimilating system shows greater disturbance.
4. Otherwise we would keep near to those suggestions as given.
5. As to the mental and material associations, [See 261-13] some of these that we have had before show some changes; in others apparently little or no progress has been made in some relations, yet these are in the main moving towards a satisfactory activity and will be found to be, with the changes that are imminent in the experience of the body and of the associates and associations, such as to make for the clarifying of much more satisfaction in some directions from the material, and greater harmonious relationships.

7. (Q) Business men and investors are very discouraged because of: a. The strained political situation in Europe. b. The large government expenditures and rapidly increasing public debt. c. The fear of uncontrolled inflation. d. The administration reform program. e. The attacks by the administration on public utilities and holding companies. Will you comment on these points and indicate the probable outcome of each?
   (A) As to the unrest, first, in foreign associations and connections; these for the immediate future should not cause a great deal of anxiety. Yet these will eventually, unless there is more of the spiritual attitude raised in groups here and there, terminate in a revolution throughout many of the foreign nations.
   These, however, with the anxiety that is caused from the financial standpoint, become a BOOM to recovery in many directions in America.
   The attack upon the administration programs and the expenditures that are mounting and mounting in the present; these are causes for alarm in investments and especially that which has been considered heretofore as the safest and of the greater returns for the investor. These will not reach those proportions where the honest holding companies, or the utilities that are well distributed among the populace, have a condition to be wary about. These are aimed at, and will sift out, those that have been holding companies for individual GROUPS and those for the conditions where there has been a great deal of inflated stock issues in the divisions of same for public distribution. Yet it will eventually be shown to be the correct policy in these directions.
   As to the inflation, unless there are those reactions where those that may be termed as the revolutionary idea towards the division of wealth, towards the raising to the animosity of those that have been in the position of being dependent upon Federal aid, Federal work or Federal activities, THESE may cause in this country, America, some distresses; but it will be AFTER '36, and should not be a disturbance for investors or the general public in the present. And it is dependent upon how great the activities ARE of those of this rebellious face or nature.
   As to the general conditions as indicated, unless there are some anxious moments arising from changes that must evidently come to pass in the next sixty to ninety days, we will find conditions gradually assuming a nearer normalcy. Should these conditions arise from unexpected activity, then there MAY be anxiety in all directions for the American public.
8. (Q) To what do you refer in this regard?
   (A) Accidents in officials of higher position. [See 261-14, Par. R1.]
9. (Q) Will the radicals such as Huey Long, Dr. Townsend, Father Coughlin, increase in number and in power, or will a conservative reaction set in in the near future?
   (A) The greater part of this is talk. When there comes the actuality of the active forces as in the powers that be, these reactionary forces will come to naught. The conservatives will be in power.
10. (Q) Is an early stabilization of foreign exchanges still probable?
    (A) In specific countries and specific relations, yes. In others, no. As in the Latin-American countries, these will soon be stabilized. As in the Central European powers, not so stabilized; but a medium or a basis for the greater exchange will be had.
11. (Q) I have listed on a separate sheet, and hold it in my hand, [See 261-14, Par. R5] a number of industries which if an improvement in business is at hand seem to me to hold better than average prospects. Do you suggest any eliminations, or additions, or do any appear especially attractive?
    (A) There are many here, as we find, that should be among the list of the better associations or activities. As to the addition of any, these that we find would be a greater speculative interest, but this list is very good. We would not alter or change any particularly.
12. (Q) I have been keeping uninvested a fund of money of my brother's. When should this be invested, and should it all be invested in stocks of the listed industries?
    (A) After the 15th day of April. Don't invest until after the 15th day of April. Then there will be such changes in the general list as here, that you will find that these will offer opportunities in specific directions that will be most advisable to take advantage of. Why the 15th of April? How do we arrive at such a statement or conclusion?
    As has been indicated, there are both astrological and material affairs. Astrological influences should be looked upon, when we come to what may be termed real business, as opportunities for individuals that have been or are trained through their activities in certain environment in certain associations. As it is for those in power, you see; as those in power in various lands. The astrological influence becomes for those in England rather adverse for the ruler there, while for the world - as to central Europe before this time - it is rather benevolent; while for those in office or in power as associated with this entity, [261] seeking through these channels for the information, it will be as a period when there are the abilities for the greater VISION of the body; and the greater activity the body may have during the next three and a half to four years. And if you don't make your fortune then, you won't have a very great deal! In the next three and a half to four years!
    These associations, then, come from the sojourn of individuals in an environment such that the correlation of activities from many quarters will work with the individual's application of knowledge. Not that this is DESTINED irrespective of what may happen! For many have been the calamitous conditions averted, even in this country - especially through the period of February. Again we are approaching same now, in between this and the 5th and 6th day of April, with the leader in this country - or Roosevelt, when there will be adverse conditions from the astrological through the transit of Saturn through not only Mars but the watery signs. Bad time to have gone fishing! [See 261-14, Par. R1.]
    As to the associations with the authorities in England, those in authorities outside of the principals (as the King) will be adverse; while it will be for the SONS of the King the more benevolent, or accidents averted.
    Those in authority in Italy - here we pass a period after the 15th of April when very adverse influences will be felt; as also for Hitler in Germany. As for Stalin in Russia, benevolent. As it will be adverse for the Mikado in Japan. These are as larger influences, see?
    Now, as to how these are affecting or are to affect the investments of moneys in conditions within the own border of the own land, the position of the affairs of the world in the present is that wherein if the destructive forces are obliterated from the board of the activities or stage of affairs in the present for three to four days, there would be almost NO activity at all, see? Yet the benevolent influences are towards making for a general return to more spiritual and more normal forces throughout the earth - until '36.
13. (Q) Can you suggest any lines of research that I might follow with the object of developing a simple but more accurate and consistent method of forecasting stock prices than those methods now in general use?
    (A) As has been indicated, these to the body may become in its first approach to same - rather questionable; but work them within self.
    Those of the numerological are the better channels for the sane, safe, secure manner of foretelling or of meting out that which would be the activity in same. But this is done not only be the date of the year but by those that are in authority as to the policies of the particular operations.
    Know, oft, as is indicated by the activities, it does not always follow that those that are the best dividend stocks are in the position of being in advance. Why? These may be easily seen if there is worked the numerological associations with those in authority as regards same.
    Hence those in studying for such a thing may find in this the greater or the better method, as we would find, for determining the prospects in such.
14. (Q) At the last reading [261-13] it was recommended that I increase my activities in investment management and by shifting responsibility to others decrease my other activities. I have made but little progress in so doing because of the increased number of problems arising particularly in National Bancservice Corporation. Am I proceeding along the right lines?
    (A) This is as has been indicated. Make haste slowly in all of thy changes in the present. These are progressing along the correct lines. The judgement is very good.
15. (Q) Has the time arrived to work out a reorganization of National Bancservice Corp.?
    (A) After the 15th of April we would, not before.
16. (Q) Are the prospects of Wilson H. Lee Co. at Orange, Conn., any brighter?
    (A) Brighter.
17. (Q) And is Kyle Morris going to be able to improve the production of the plant and reduce costs?
    (A) Is doing so. Not in a great way yet, but he is working it out!
18. (Q) Should any further changes be made in the Lee sales organization?
    (A) Not in the immediate, as we find.
19. (Q) My work as Vice-Chairman of The National Graphic Arts Coordinating Committee and as Code Director for the Lithographic Printing Industry still requires a considerable portion of my time. Is it probable that the National Industrial Recovery Act [See 261-14, Par. R2] will continue beyond June 16th, and if so should I continue my present activities during the extension of the Act?
    (A) We do not find that it will continue; as will many of the various groups be either disorganized or disbanded entirely, or changed into other groups. [See Par. R2.]
20. (Q) Do you find any improvement in the activities of William Goodwin, located at The Grand Central Palace in N.Y., and should he be further supported?
    (A) This is rather a question, as we find. We would go deeper into this. [Pause] It's a case of where one step has followed another. There have been some efforts on the part of Goodwin. [Pause - mumbling - as if looking up astrological signs, etc.] Yes, this should be - this should work out. Don't give him too much rope, but then for the time, yes. Sustain him in his activities now.
21. (Q) Because of lack of tangible results I have stopped further support to Richard Wightman of Old Saybrook, Conn., and The Shav-Easy. Have you any comment or suggestion to make?
    (A) As has been indicated in this, there is every reason why this should be a very PRODUCTIVE operation. While there has not been shown tangible results, this - as we find - is very well to leave it alone and let him work it out. But this should be, or should become, a very PAYING proposition materially. But we would go out it to many activities or many channels through its distribution and change the policies somewhat. This is the comment we have.
22. (Q) Regarding the physical condition: [See previous Physical readings on gastritis.] Recently I have considerable gas in the intestinal tract at times causing discomfort. What is the cause and what remedy to you suggest?
    (A) As has been indicated. Not enough outdoor exercise to take up, and there's been a little bit too much worrying to the body. It will be found that the AL-CAROID will be very helpful; take for material conditions. But get out and do more outside work; get tired a little bit in the body and not so tired in the mental forces. This would be a greater improvement in these conditions.
23. (Q) Several times during the past few months I have had attacks when I have broken into a sweat and become faint. What causes this and what should I do when one of these attacks comes on?
    (A) Take just a little bit of ammonia will be the most beneficial thing to change the activities in the contraction in the upper portion of the stomach itself as related to the cardiac activities of the system.
24. (Q) Are there any further suggestions or advice for this body at this time, or any further recommendation as to a change in any of his activities?
    (A) There's a lot here to think about! Much advice might be given as respecting this numerological working out of things.
    Take that which is of the easier form, knowing ever that this is as the basis of all activity: These are only as SIGNS when worked out in the most. But one source, one power, one influence, as may be had within self and turning to the within will be not as hunches, but as the influence made erect from within self through making self in EVERY manner as one with Him. For He has promised to guide, to guard, to direct. And as ye put into application those suggestions, ye will find more and more there will come - in those periods that thou dost set aside for thine own meditation upon problems of self, problems as related to individuals - the voice as from within.
25. (Q) Are there books from which one may study numerology?
    (A) NUMBERS of same! But best study as you would your own A.B.C's. One - the all power. Two - divided. Three the strength of One and the weakness of Two. Four - the greater weakness in all its associations and powers. Five - a change imminent, ever, in the activities of whatever influence with which it may be associated. Six - the strength of a Three, with a helpful influence. Seven - the spiritual forces that are activative or will be the activative influences in the associations of such an influence. Eight - a money number. Nine - the change. Ten - back to One again. These in their correlated influences as you will find in your own experience, and we will see these are but signs. Study in some of these, but turn most to the influence of the force of the One within self.

1. In re 261-14, Par. 7-A and 8-A the following is from a newspaper in 1935:
   MAN WHO THREATENED ROOSEVELT FOUND INSANE Boston, April 12 - (AP) - Thomas F. Murphy, a 27-year-old unemployed laborer, who was arrested a week ago for threatening President Roosevelt with assassination, was reported tonight by U.S. Marshal John J. Murphy to have been found insane after observation at the Boston Psychopathic Hospital.
2. [In re 261-14, Par. 19-A.] 3/51 GD heard (via Albert E. Turner) that on 5/27/35 the U.S. Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision, declared the National Industrial Recovery Act unconstitutional.
3. 8/17/35 Mr. [261] obtained for himself Mental-Spiritual reading, 261-15.
4. 8/19/35 He referred his aunt for Physical reading, 975-1.
5. 3/26/35 Mr. [261] held this list in his hand when he asked Par. 11-Q in re industries for investments, etc.
