This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 30th day of November, 1936, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [261], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

Time and Place: 4:45 to 4:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ... Ave., New York City.
(Physical Suggestion)

TEXT

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [261]; this we have had before.
  2. There are great improvements in many ways from that as we have had before, yet still that anxiety, that restlessness that comes from the overtaxing of the body and the inability of the body at times to assimilate its foods and the circulatory forces to such measures as to bring the greater strength and vitality.
  3. But as we find if there is the adherence to those indications as have been given, and the keeping of the body more in an alkalin than an acid reaction, with the use of the Radio-Active Appliance, we will find the body continuing on the improve.
  4. The Radio-Active Appliance as used is very well, but do not let same become overflowing with the ice or the water. Keep anodes clean, and alternate the applicators each period that it is used.
  5. And when the Appliance is used, let that be the period of the meditation. Lie prone, or almost so, when it is used; and not let the mind run hither or yon, but let the mind be rather in the constructive way and manner. For as the mind and the body and the soul are the triune, so is there the feeding of the spiritual self in the ways and manners as the physical body is fed - by thought. For the mind is the builder, and as the soul thinketh so it is.
  6. Then during the period let it be in that attitude of constructive hopefulness, and know - no medicine, no application, mechanical appliance or otherwise, DOES the healing - but that only the attunement to the divine within BRINGS health.

  1. 12/08/36 He wrote: "I have been home all the past week - in bed until yesterday, and quite miserable [with a cold]. I am going to N.Y. today for a little while to see how it goes. The rest of the family have also been sick with colds but are gradually improving."
  2. 12/30/36 Wife [772]'s letter: "[261] still seems very tired most of the time. He gets in some golf every day and I'm sure the trip [to Pinehurst] is doing him some good. He can't seem to follow your advice entirely and stop worrying and working so hard."
