(Q) As was recommended through this channel a new well has
been started some 600 feet to the southeast of the last
operations and is down now over 1000 feet. There seems to
be some confusion in the information given in the two
readings previously received as to the proper depth for the
best oil and gas production in the new well. The first
reading seemed to indicate that the necessary depth would be
368 feet below the operations in the last well which would
make the necessary depth of the new well about 2100 feet.
The last reading indicated that it would be necessary to go
to 3900 to 4200 feet. Please clarify this information and
tell us what depth it would be necessary to drill this new
well to obtain the best production.
(A) That indicated in the first was for the specific
location in which there were the activities or the operations
at the time. The last was for the general conditions for the
highest production of the field which would be necessary in
other locations, and to a greater depth or to the lower
sands.
As for the operations asked concerning in the present, it is
for commercial evaluation to the depth as indicated.
We will not find a great variation in the character of the
formations in the present operation (Now, don't confuse the
two!). There will not be a great deal of change in the
formations or the stratums that will be encountered, though
we will find below - or down - after the 1875 we will find
a grate or a very HARD sand, see? or the formation for the
greater production in the 2100 or
2178-79 feet.
However, the greater production - considering the whole
field, you see would be to a much lower sand.
We are through for the present.
