This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of November, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [263], Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [263]; this we have had before.
3. Many conditions are improved. Much is to be desired, but the greater part of the disturbances must be controlled by the body itself; that is, in the attitude the body takes towards those conditions about the body.
4. Giving way to the feelings, allowing those things that "just don't set so well" to so activate through the nerve forces of the body, will keep the body "on its nerves."
5. To be sure, there are some conditions that need pathological attention, but more is needed in the psychological effect of attitudes.
6. For, when there is an expectancy of something, or of conditions, or of activities that are well pleasing to the desire, the BODY FEELS GOOD! But when there is something that crosses the body, it has pains in the head, pains in the back, the feet hurt, and it's tired all over! OF what?
7. It is SELF to be considered as that as may be a hindrance, not merely to the conditions but to things about the body.
8. Hence there should be, first, an analyzing of self's purposes, self's desires. Be expectant DAILY of something to happen. Then MAKE IT HAPPEN!
9. This in the activity will add more to the general physical well-being than all the doses that may be taken.
10. There ARE upsetting conditions pathologically; from the digestion, that affects the body as related to the digestion and the kidneys, and these - of course - cause the distress as related to the breathing - pathologically - but through the psychological effects created on the body.
11. But to remove same, use a small amount of Eno Salts - a level teaspoonful each morning before breakfast for, say, five days; then leave off for three to four days, then take again.
12. After this has been taken; for three days; take then one-half grain of CALCIDIN. This is a combination of calcium and iodine that will not only relieve those tensions which have been created, but will relieve the tendencies towards headache, the burning in the stomach, the burning when there is the activity from the kidneys, and those tendencies that arise when the body attempts to sleep, for the mouth to remain open in breathing, and will keep the body near normal. Take this for three days, see? Then take the Eno Salts again, and so on.
13. Then, most of all, the attitude: This not merely as of spiritual natures, for the ideals and principles of the body are well set, but apply them in their relationships to conditions. As we have indicated, analyze from day to day, or week to week, those things that are expected, - not merely of self, but that you will create a condition, an association, an activity in relationships to some others (not merely those of the own household, though it would do well to include them!), but bring something of a pleasant surprise, or a pleasant experience, that gives them hope. And it will create HEALTH within thine own self!
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) Apparent blindness and burning at times in eyes?
    (A) This is lack of circulation in that upper portion, or through the trachea, lungs, and the relationships of this to the conditions of the kidneys. Those properties as indicated to be taken, - the Eno Salts for five days, and the Calcidin for three days, - should cause these conditions to disappear. This doesn't mean take these just that long and stop, or just once and stop; but take them for two or three rounds or series, see? and as you apply the rest of the suggestions these conditions will disappear.
16. (Q) Was the dental work I had done sufficient, or do my teeth need more attention?
    (A) We would say sufficient for the immediate. The addition of the iodine and calcium (in the Calcidin) will not only aid in creating a better circulation for the teeth, the gums and mouth, but - if a grain of this is desolved in water and gums AND the mouth rinsed with same, it will not only aid the teeth and the eyes but all the gland forces of the body!
17. (Q) What is the cure for my cold and cough?
    (A) Do what we have told you to do!
18. (Q) How may I build up my blood?
    (A) Do what we have told you to do!
19. (Q) What is the cause and relief for pains under shoulder blade and lower part of back?
    (A) Those repressions within self. Do as we have told you in the mental attitude, using the pathological forces as suggested, and we will find betterment.
    DO it!
