This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, Birmingham, Alabama, this 22nd day of December, 1922, in accordance with request made by self, Mr. [269], via Mr. David E. Kahn.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find that the abnormal conditions in this body are produced from a contagious condition that has existed in the body.
2. Now, these are the abnormal conditions as we find them in this body, [269], we are speaking of. The blood supply throughout the whole system shows the effect as has been produced in the system, and how that without the normal flow of the circulation the body has become gradually impaired, and this normal flow has been hindered by the condition in the blood, and the blood supply taking from it the forces needed to re-build in the system, and has allowed the body to become throughout contaminated with the existing conditions.
3. There is a less number of the red blood cells, and also an over abundance of the white blood cells in this system, for the body has attempted to create that in the system to combat with the condition throughout the body. The attack to the system, has been more to the ligaments and tissue of the body than to the organs direct, for, first, with poor elimination, the system created a sufficient amount to take care of the organs first. Through the nerve forces of the body we find the brain forces active, yet we have a condition of incoordination between the cerebrospinal system and the sympathetic nervous system. The improper coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal and the sensory organism, hence the condition exists in the organs of the sensory system direct, yet produced from a general condition, and treatment to the local organs has availed little.
4. There is about the third lumbar segment a lesion. This has much to do with the condition in the body below this line, and has a reflex also to the condition of the intestinal tract and of the intestinal indigestion, and is of a reflex nature rather than of an organic condition at the present time, though some of the organs of the body have been involved at times back.
5. Through the functioning of the organs themselves we find, with the condition of the blood supply, the incentives as is given to the lungs proper are not always the correct, and hence the trouble we have in the bronchial and the larynx affecting directly the two segments or circle of the trachea itself proper.
6. In the digestive tract, with poor elimination, we find poor assimilation, hence foods lie too long at times in the stomach itself proper.
7. The liver has become torpid in its action from being inactive, both in the physical sense and in the organic sense, as has the opposite pole, the kidneys, which show the improper elimination from the system of the poisons as have generated about some of the emunctories.
8. To give the proper incentives to this body to enable it to become a normal force again, will be of a long and specific directions for the body to follow; and patience and persistence must be one of the main treatments to the body, and it will be necessary to go over one mode of treatment to reach the real center of the trouble. Some of these will produce nausea to the body, but will, if persistently and carefully followed out, bring the relief desired to those portions of this body that are abnormal. There are some that are abnormal to other bodies that to this body is a normal force. Those we do not reach. Take this into the system first:
9. To 1 gallon of distilled water add:

   Yellow Dock Root...........2 ounces,
Burdock Root...............2 ounces,
Golden Seal [Hydrastis]....2 ounces,
Prickly Ash Bark...........2 ounces.

10. These should be simmered, and not boiled, until reduced to 1 quart. Strain, and while warm, add 6 ounces of grain alcohol and 3 drams of Balsam of Tolu.
11. After the first quantity of this is taken in the system, tablespoonful 3 times each day a half hour before meals; let the diet be that of vegetable matter rather than of meats, and whole wheat bread rather than that of too much of those that have had the gluten taken out.
12. We would then take this into the system: Chloride of gold, 15 grains, Bromide of Soda, 80 grains, dissolved in 15 ounces of distilled water.
13. The dose would be 15 drops in three-quarters of a glass of water three times each day. This had best be taken before meals, also to produce assimilation and elimination you see in the system.
14. While this is being given, - that is the soda and gold, each day in the evening, just 30 minutes after the last dose for the day has been taken, apply to the body the correct vibrations that will give the incentives to the nerve centers to become rejuvenated again, and that will be the vibration from the violet ray, without the amperage in the machine, you see. The treatment to the spine and limbs will be principally at the first cervical, the brachial plexus, the solar plexus, and the third lumbar plexus, where the lesion shows most, and then down the sciatic nerve root until the knees are reached; under side, you see. This should be applied for 10 minutes each evening.

REPORTS

1. 5/06/23 Noon he obtained 269-2, indicating his main trouble was hardness of hearing and toxemia. He had not followed the treatment.
2. 5/06/23 P.M. He obtained 1408-1 for his wife.
3. Also he had obtained 5763-1 for his little daughter, a copy of which we do not have in A.R.E. files.
