1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [270], and his business associations and relations, especially regarding Chicago City and railroad franchise. You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding these.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [270] - this we have had here before, and those associations as regarding city, franchise, railway, and so forth. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Will the Chicago City and Connecting Railway Franchise application be approved and renewed?
   (A) After much discussion, after some injunctions have been filed and some changes have been made in the franchise, this will be again granted - which will come near February 5th to 6th, or even later.
4. (Q) What will be the ultimate outcome of this application?
   (A) As given.
