4/06/33 EC's letter:
I was very glad to have yours of the 30th. I want to thank
you also for your contribution to the Work, and assure you we
appreciate your thought in this direction; for no doubt you
are aware that we are dependent upon those whom we try to
assist for contributions to carry on this work.
I'm certainly glad to know that you are continuing on the
improve. I feel your mental attitude has had a great deal to
do with this, as I'm sure you realize yourself. It would be
very well, I believe, for you to have a check reading in the
near future. Possibly Monday morning, the 17th, if that
would be satisfactory with you. I think you will find it
more satisfactory to submit a list of questions. Even though
they may be answered in the main body of the reading, they
will assist the questioner in following the line of thought
that may be the most helpful to you in analyzing any
condition you feel is disturbing you at the present time.
Until you have gotten the check reading, no doubt it will be
well to increase the quantity of Atomidine taken internally;
as well as that in the douche. Then, if there are any
changes, the reading, of course, will make suggestions for
them.
Since the very first communications from you, we have all
felt we would like to know you better; especially since the
Life Reading, as the indications are that we have been
associated in work of this nature in the past. It is very
hard to write about such things, for so many questions arise
that it is practically impossible to follow a continuity of
thought; or to answer the many questions that may arise in
the mind of an individual. We have had so many hundreds of
Life Readings, that to us many of the things are clearly
understood that would be hard for others to grasp. Possibly
we have become accustomed to using such terms or hearing the
phrases. Just as we might say about the use of the
telephone. While very few of us would be able to analyze or
describe just how it works, we are so accustomed to it that
even those who have not heard of one - it seems to us -
should know what it's like and what to do with it.
In reference to Mr. Wells, one of the Regional
Representatives of the Association, you may be able to work
with him in forming a study group. However, it might be the
better if you would consider forming your own study group. I
am sure your qualifications are such that you could direct
such a group in a most satisfactory way and manner, even
though you might begin with only two to three individuals. I
would like to send one of the lessons to you, and some of the
data concerning this work, if you feel you would be at all
interested. It is in this direction, I believe, that you
could be of a great service to the organization, as well as
this offering a channel that will be of the greatest
assistance to you in this work. If I understand properly, it
would also be following very much along the lines of the
associations - which we think of as being ages ago, but which
were only yesterday.
The lessons are prepared by the Norfolk Study Group.
Readings are given, and the individuals interpret these in
their daily experience. This is a very inadequate
explanation, but - as you will see from the lessons - they
are not just formulas or theories. As the readings have
suggested, they are living lessons; that individuals may by
practice make practical and demonstrate in their daily
experience. Please let me know about this, and we will be
glad to send the data to you.
It has been quite unusual, our contact or association with
Prof. Bohannon. I have known him possibly for the last
thirty years, since he was in school as a pupil in Bowling
Green. Again I met him in Birmingham as instructor of
psychology there. Quite a number of people through the years
have been referred to these channels for information by him.
Some have become very warm personal friends; others - as in
all things of this nature - have gotten little or nothing.
It is the attitude, of course, that makes the difference -
whether we say of the approach, of the individual, or all
combined.
Please let us know about sending the data. Should you like
to get in touch with Mr. Wallace Wells, his address is 1608
Mount Drive, Tarrent, Alabama.
Appreciating your letter, trusting this finds you still on
the improve, that we may have the opportunity to know you in
person in the near future, thanking you for your invitation,
and with all good wishes and kindest regards, I am
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Cayce:-
I am so happy to say that I believe that I am better. Am I?
A strange thing happened about three o'clock Monday morning
of the tenth. I was awakened and I believed that I was well.
I had no discharge all day Monday or I couldn't tell it if I
had; while the day before which was Sunday, the discharge was
very profuse. However, I am not feeling so well to-day. I
don't think that I am well to-day. This change in my mind,
how I want to feel sure that I am entirely well. However
according to your readings the change would come about the
first of May. I am very hopeful. How I want the time to
come.
I am sending you ten dollars ($10.00) for a reading for the
morning of the 17th. That morning, which is Monday morning
I will be at ..., Ala. teaching grade six.
Now as to the questions, I hardly know where to begin.
First, let me say that I am still taking the Atomidine and
trying to follow the other suggestions.
Questions:
1. Where or what organs are the G. C. germs effecting in
my system now?
2. What further things must I do in order to completely
eliminate them from my system?
3. What can I do in order to have a normal orgasm?
(I want to be a normal woman sexually.)
4. Is my heart bad again?
5. Why do I have rheumatic pains in my knee joint, finger
joints, and arm muscles?
6. What could I do to make my eyes become normal, so that
I would not have to wear glasses?
In other words, I pray and desire, so much, to be a normal
healthy person.
Mr. Cayce, I think you and your work wonderful. Don't you
think I had better go with Mr. Wells in his study group, for
a while anyway, as I feel so unqualified, you know? I am
going to write him about his study group very soon.
My doctor has worked with me beautifully in the past few
weeks. I am not taking any kind of treatment from him now.
I told him about you and your plans to be in Birmingham this
summer. I want him to meet you and know about your work.
I am so thankful and grateful, from the bottom of my heart
for the help you have given me and will continue to give me.
You have helped to bring sunshine where all seemed dark.
Sincerely,
[
