8/09/32 Mother [
255]'s ltr.: "In [
275]'s next Physical Rdg. I
am going to ask about a new osteopath in ... The trip to
N.Y. is tedious, and although Dr. Grace C. Berger [D.O.]
seems to suit [
275] very well, we both would have liked to
see her more professional. Spangles, colored sharp finger
nails are not suitable to the work. But we will do as the
reading says.
"To come back to Dr. Berger. I know that she thought [
275]
had gone backwards, but we went there just as the rdg. said.
Here, too, Dr. Cleveland was disappointed, but that all
cannot be helped. We must be patient and do our best, the
rest in God's hands."
9/11/32 Mother [
255]'s ltr.: "[
275] wishes me to ask for a
rdg. for her here at ... Lake or later at home in ..., N.Y.
I am hoping that Dr. Frank P. Dobbins [D.O.] will receive a
good report [in the rdg.], it will save us time and expense
not to have to go to N.Y."
9/17/32 Mother wrote: "[
275] is very happy with sewing and
her harp and books. She enjoyed swimming and canoeing, too.
But her progress is very slow. Pain has troubled her too,
quite a little, this summer again. But she is a brave
patient, and good girl, never complains. God knows, there
is nothing I would not do to help her. I hope with you all
praying for her that help will come soon."
9/28/32 She obtained Ck. Physical
275-28.
