This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of August, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [275], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have those records made by the entity [275] as Ai-Si.
2. In that period, some ten thousand five hundred (10,500) years before the Prince of Peace came into Egypt as a student and seeker for the unraveling of the mystery of manifested life, the entity Ai-Si was a princess among the sons of the Libyans.
3. When the priest Ra-Ta was banished to the land, the entity came under the influences of those teachings; as the priest dwelt there.
4. As would be counted in years in the present, the entity was some seventeen (17) years of age.
5. The entity then joined with those that would purify their bodies for a service, in the gathering of the lessons of the priest in such a manner that they (the lessons) might be given to others; much as the preparation, as would be termed in the day the entity became a student of the tenets that were presented by the priest and his followers.
6. Then the entity showed an aptitude and an ability in those directions of purification by the acts of individuals, as related to the feeding and the preparation of the various compounds of food; and also an aptitude in the abilities of movements in rhythm, as of service in the temple worship, in the dance.
7. Hence the entity became among the first users of the harp, or the lyre - as was later called, of the instrument. But in the entity's own periods there were rather the harps shaped as today, except they were much smaller and only carried then sixteen (16) strings.
8. In the period when there were the preparations for the return (to be sure, we are dealing more with the material activity which is called history today), and when the return began, the entity Ai-Si joined with those that returned to Egypt proper; for the tenets and activities of the priest had enjoined the entity to do service in those activities during the period.
9. When there became the necessity of establishing the temples where there were the studies of the combinations of diet - as in purifying the body from the blood, and the smearing of the flesh took on such activities as to remove scourges that arose from certain characters of diet; and there were brought through the feedings more symmetrical and harmonious proportions in the bodies of those that were in thought or work or service among those that prepared themselves - the entity Ai-Si began to be among the leaders in such activities; and also joined in the temple music.
10. For, in the period, there was the Temple of Sacrifice; or that wherein the body was shed of the animal representations through the sacrificing of the desires of the appetite, through the CHANGING of self in the temple service.
11. There was also the Temple Beautiful, wherein those labored who were released gradually of those appurtenances that would hinder; as the feathers fell away, the hair was removed here or there, the claws and the bills and the hoofs - and the like - began to disappear. These gave place, then, in the Temple Beautiful; and the entity was the leader then in what today would be termed the orchestra, or of those that made music for those as they swayed in body-movement - as in the chants that aided in the individual raising the thoughts in the praise of that power which impelled through THINKING (as would be termed today), or the attuning of the spiritual selves to the attunement of the universal forces.
12. And, in this manner, the entity became one very closely associated with the priest; in placing individuals, and in giving to individuals their activity in the various spheres.
13. Hence the entity may in the present, when attuning self through its exercises in music, arouse within the inner self those latent abilities where there may be attunement with the soul, of the inner self that has been builded. For, as an individual attunes itself to that which it has attained, even at a MOMENT of time, there is aroused the abilities to KNOW even that which WAS known through the experience.
14. Hence the entity becomes the more conscious of those influences in the experiences of self. Hence there is given the ability to give to those whom the entity may contact, in this realm of activity, that which will to the soul direct it (the soul) to its better development.
15. And, as the abilities grow in self, OTHER experiences, other spheres of activity, become the consciousness of the entity through those abilities ATTAINED by such a soul.
16. Hence, directing in that which may - through associations of eating - give to a soul the harmonies necessary for the better attunement and unfoldment of the sources of force or power from within is within the ken of the entity's activity, even in the earth's sphere in the present; provided the entity will but harken to that from within.

19. How long did the entity Ai-Si remain in the environ of the Temple Service?
20. Until that period (as would be termed in the present age) of ninety-eight (98) years of age.
21. The entity saw what was preserved as the memorials, the pyramids built during the entity's sojourn; when there was begun the pyramid of understanding, or Gizeh - and only to the king's chamber was the pathway built. But the entity will see in the present the empty tomb period pass; hence rise to heights of activity in the present experience.
22. The entity's harps - and the entity's MENUS, as they would be termed in the present - are among those things preserved in the pyramid of UNKNOWN origin, as yet, but in the storehouse of records.
23. And, the entity was aided by the Atlantean (now the father) who brought the portions of the records into this land of the Atlantean buildings and sojourns.
24. How did the entity aid the priest, and what were the relations between the priest and the entity Ai-Si?
25. As would be termed in the present, the entity Ai-Si was a secretary of that particular field of activity - in the building up of those PRESENTED records of PRESENTED material activity of the priest Ra-Ta.
26. (Q) Was I married to my soul mate in Egypt?
    (A) Not married to anyone. Rather was the entity a body that used self's abilities in the soul mating for the creating of those vibrations that brought certain activities in the influences of the people at the time. Wedded as of the period; NOT wedded as would be termed in the present.
27. (Q) In what way was I connected with my father [378] and mother [255] in that life?
    (A) As one close to each in THEIR respective duties; and each aiding the other in their connections, associations, for the activities among others.
28. (Q) Give names of temples with which I was connected?
    (A) As indicated; Temple Beautiful and Temple of Sacrifice.
29. (Q) Is there any suggestion that will help entity in her progress of developing herself spiritually and psychically?
    (A) As we have indicated, as the entity turns more and more through music for the attuning of self (as music becomes the meditation period, the prayer period for the entity), the abilities to turn to the activities of Ai-Si become possible - as we have described.
