This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of September, 1933, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [275], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: (In going over the address to locate the body, said: "Quite a number of conditions present themselves - Many are seeking to say something."):
2. We have the body here, [275]; this we have had before.
3. Now, as we find, in many ways, physical, mental and spiritual, the body shows changes; and these are, in the greater part, beneficial, helpful, improvements throughout.
4. There is still considerable inconvenience, considerable anxiety at times felt in the portions of body that have been causing disturbance, yet - in the main - these conditions are continuing on the improve.
5. Where there has been erosion or a wasting away of the structural portions themselves of the bone, and it becomes necessary that there be the rejuvenation of the body to build this structural portion, it may be expected - and is the natural condition - for this to produce irritations at times, and to bring about conditions that apparently are very unsatisfactory. Yet, as we find, these will keep on the improve, if there will be kept those outlines near to that we have given; as to the matter of the diet, as to those conditions that make for the retarding of the elements that would produce destructive influences, and keeping the system balanced through suggestion, the violet ray or ultra violet ray, the infra red, that makes for activities with the structural portions of the body itself, keeping those elements in the body that make for the releasing more and more of those forces within the body that form structural portions.
6. And, to be sure, there should be the sufficient activity; even when it causes strain in portions of the body to use the limb, this we would do, not overtaxing as to cause irritation nor taking too great chances that would induce or bring accidents or dangerous conditions for the body such as to be in the condition of taking on destructive influences. And we will find better and better responses, and more and more will the body become accustomed to the activities under the strain, and less and less discomfort will there be to the physical reactions.
7. Keep ever in mind that each and every entity, every soul, must work out with itself and its relations according to that knowledge it has concerning the Creative Energies, active forces and principles in the material, the mental and the spiritual forces of the body, to bring about the betterment of not only self but all those whom the entity may contact from day to day.
8. Then we would, through the coming season or period, continue occasionally - once a week, or oftener for a time and then rest for a period - with the manipulations osteopathically.
9. We would take internally the Ash sufficient to keep the active forces in the system to allay any chance of an activity in the direction that would lessen the conditions in the body being able to keep down inflammation and to accord to the blood stream - the activity of the whole circulatory system - replenishing and rebuilding influences in the body. Take about an eighth of a grain twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
10. The ultra violet would be used once a week. Or, we may change somewhat - and, if the Infra Red is used, and a green prism or green glass (a quarter of an inch thick) is used BETWEEN the body AND the Infra Red, we may discontinue the use of the ultra violet at the present, only using the plain hand violet ray immediately or thirty minutes after the Ash has been taken into the system (and this may be taken, of course, at home - the plain violet ray, see?), using it over those portions of the body from the central dorsal system to the end of the toes, and particularly over those portions where the erosions or the conditions are to be centralized from the activity of the circulation in body. This then would only be taken once a week, see?
11. The suggestive treatments, and those activities that will bring to the body the attitude of the mental reactions, these - as we find - would be well.
12. In the diet, keep sufficient iron, calcium and silicon, that there may be the proper elements in the body for keeping the resuscitations in the system.
13. We would occasionally still use the applications for the scalp and for the better activities of the hair, leaving off - in the present, or for the present period, at least - the crude oil: using then more of the vaseline or petroleum jelly (the white) with a very weak solution - of one to twenty, or one to forty - of the alcohol for the cleansing of the scalp and hair. This used in this proportion, with this quantity of the oil, will not make for the brittleness nor the color that has been at times so distasteful to the body.

15. (Q) Should body continue taking Atomidine?
    (A) Occasionally; that is, four or five days each month we would take small quantities of Atomidine. When taken, take for four or five days in succession, then rest nearly a month, see - calling a month the twenty-eight days, see?
16. (Q) How can body relieve discomfort and pain felt at beginning of menstrual period?
    (A) With the proper manipulations that should be given just before these periods, for the general activity of the system, this should be relieved.
17. (Q) How often and how much of spinach juice should body take during winter?
    (A) Sufficient to keep the body in an even balance in the elements for the replenishing, as we have indicated. This might be better indicated by the taste of the body; that is, when there is the metallic taste of mornings, leave off then that day any of the spinach or the forces that carry the iron, and the like.
18. (Q) Is the condition of front tooth good?
    (A) Very good, as yet.
19. (Q) Do any teeth need attention?
    (A) Not as we find; none particularly in the present. We would continue the massaging very thoroughly with the Ipsab occasionally.
20. (Q) Did I understand that the violet ray should be taken instead of the quartz lamp?
    (A) The violet ray would be taken IF the green prism or green glass is used between the Infra Red and the body. And this should be rather close to the body, or closer to the body than to the Infra Red lamp, see, so as to not crack the glass or heat it so. But here we get the advantage of the Infra Red rays and the healing vibrations from green with red, see; and this would be taken as given, once a week.
    The violet ray would be given about thirty minutes after the ash is taken.
21. (Q) Will entity still benefit by Greber treatments? If so, how often should they be given?
    (A) About twice to three times a week. Keep those activities that make for the arising of these influences in the mental and the spiritual body. These may be made to become such as to bring the better, the more satisfactory influences in the experience of the entity; and through aiding others aid self.
    Do all in the name, and through the influences that may be surrounding the body from the calling on those powers of the Lord, the Master, Jesus, the Christ.
