This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of January, 1934, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [275], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind [275], and those conditions with the body, with the mental body and the soul development, with that which has been given through these sources respecting the body, the body-mind and the soul body.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Is there anything that can be done to reduce the bust?
   (A) There has been given a lotion through these sources, an almost perfect lotion for such, that does not injure, does not deter from any activity save as respecting the size or the condition of the bust.
   This that has been given should be massaged on the glands and the muscles about same, rather than the bust itself; for the size, the character of same, is produced by the glands' activity from the system.
   We would give to use that. [See 903-18 of 8/04/33.]
4. (Q) What is the condition of the teeth in general, the front one particularly?
   (A) In general we find the condition very good. Particularly the front needs some local attention.
5. (Q) What should be done to front tooth?
   (A) As we find, a little local treatment there will be all that is necessary to prevent the inroads of any infectious forces from without.
6. (Q) Would egg white be harmful to the hair when used as a wave lotion?
   (A) No.
7. (Q) What can be done to clear up rash on face, and what has been the cause of it?
   (A) Some disturbances in the glands from too great an amount of elements in the system as to produce the tendencies to be active in the glands of the cuticle. Too great amount, not such an OVER amount - but sufficient with that used as lotion, to produce the disturbance - too great amount of potash. Then, those properties that tend to make for more iodine would be the more helpful.
   As to the face lotion, we find that a cream that is less acid will be the more beneficial. A test of these may be easily made before they are used. Both the red and blue litmus test are the better way for testing same. And any that is wholly alkalin and non-acid is preferable. The Black and White, as we have indicated, is excellent. And Junis, since it is in much of an experimental stage - if it is tested, eventually may be found to be the better, see?
8. (Q) What is the progress of the hip condition?
   (A) In general very satisfactory, as yet. There is the building up and, naturally, this makes for at times some disturbance, as there is the tendency for the growth TO those portions where erosions HAVE been seen, see? but a healthy growth there of structural forces is seen. Hence in general very satisfactory. We would not change a great deal from all the varied conditions, as in diet, as in the applications and in the varied forces. Though these may seem long, tedious, and sometimes even discouraging, but keep the healthy condition to keep the body mentally and physically in this way, to make for the better conditions for the body.
   We would (for the satisfaction of self) have, in the near future, the X-Ray to show by a comparison and by the general activity just what IS being accomplished. This (properly made) will also be helpful to the manipulator, in SEEING and knowing just what portions of the tendons and the muscles in the lumbar and sacral areas to aid in their replenishing activity.
9. (Q) Who should take the picture, or who would you suggest?
   (A) Preferably some one whose activity is not to be influenced by any of the conditions that have gone before, see? There are those who are specialists in this undertaking, see? Such an one. A specialist in this line. And the position should be the perfectly UPRIGHT; that is, LATERALLY made for the correct position as to how the ligaments, how the structural portion, and what is being accomplished in those administrations in the present.
10. (Q) What is my flower and my tree?
    (A) The Egyptian rose and the elm. The one that is seen in each case is from the varied experiences in the activities of the mental and physical body, in its experience through material sojourn.
    The Egyptian rose is that BETWEEN what may be commonly termed the long bud and the single blossom, see?
11. (Q) What is my cosmic number?
    (A) Numbers, as indicated, are arrived at the better either by the numerology of the name, of the birth, or the general number for the sex and the date itself that may be arrived at by the astrological aspects of the date. As a general, or a combination of these, it is as has been given - see?
12. (Q) Explain the blue light that Mr. MacBeth saw between Mr. Cayce and myself during the reading at our home on Nov. 12th, in the afternoon?
    (A) The radiation from active forces of bodies that are submerged, as in the body of Cayce. And the active forces are then of the psychic nature. And the light as seen is the sympathy, or the concentration of the sympathetic influence from the body to that of Cayce. As SEEN, it passed both ways - and is that which may be termed the aura of each in their aiding in that being done at the moment, or being brought to material manifestation.
    The aura of each, conjunction or coordinating or cooperating in that which was being sought and accomplished at or through that period of experience.
13. (Q) What part do I have in connection with Mr. [373]'s work...?
    (A) In being an aid in the matter or manner of furnishing, as may be termed, from the material standard as the impulse - as from the spiritual forces, that which is an aid in concentrating in a given direction or intent and purpose.
14. (Q) Why is it that the high notes move me more than the lower ones?
    (A) That the attunement of the body is of the highest is indicated by this very experience. That the sensitiveness of the body in its high mental and spiritual abilities is attuned to the higher influences is seen by these experiences. As this then may be said of many conditions that are accredited to influences in the manifested form of a material world. Not that the body-mind or the spiritual forces are influenced BY the notes, but that the vibrations and the ATTUNEMENT of the impulse or the soul forces IS at the high pitch is attested by the effect of this attunement - and the effect upon the body, see?
15. (Q) Is it true that my soul mate and Masselmans are my guides? In what way do they influence me?
    (A) As we have given, and as we find, while these are influences as in every soul, the greater guide - the greater directing influence - is the DEVELOPMENT of self's soul's relationships TO that which is the soul's ideal. The attunement in these relations comes much in the same manner as it may be said that the high notes AFFECT the body-mind and consciousness. So may it be said that the guides, as asked here, are accorded an attunement in the higher activities of the entity or soul - but seek rather ever to develop the soul of self to the attunement with the Christ Consciousness, that IS the promise of all. That the guides, that the soul mate, ATTUNE self in this reaching as an aid in the spirit realm of ATTAINING the higher contact is only as a step TO the development of the better self. If held, and when kept in this attitude and in this manner, each influence then becomes higher and higher. Be not satisfied with that less than the highest, which is the promise to every soul from the Christ Himself.
16. (Q) Give me any guidance that will help me, to lift the cloud during meditation.
    (A) Visualize not as of that in the picturization, but rather visualize as in the tones of music that may give tones in color, in painting or picture of the Christ Consciousness in self. This will raise self more and more to the greater abilities in self in every direction.
    For, a few there be in the earth in the present that may attain to a concentrated or a continued association in the spiritual forces of their activity, as this soul! For, as given, it has set and is attaining that title clear in its activity in the present.
17. (Q) Are the cold creams made by the Silver Slipper Products, Inc., 112 West 42nd St., N.Y.C., to be recommended?
    (A) Make the test for them, and these will be found to vary at times - even as those that have been indicated that are among the best, but use only those that are alkalin reacting.
18. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time?
    (A) Rather may it be said: Blessed are they who may in any manner contribute to the great benefits others may receive through the efforts of this body.

1. 1/12/34 Dr. Dobbins' report to GD: "...There seems to be little change in the condition of [275]. She seems to be free from pain which I consider remarkable. I feel that it may be possible that the destructive process is at an end and that repair may be taking place. The next time she is given a check reading and if it is possible would like to ask the following questions. 1. Should the vertebral articulations from the 4th to 10th dorsal be moved? 2. Is there anything more that can be done from an osteopathic viewpoint?..."

3. 3/16/34 Mother [255]'s letter: "We are going for an x-ray this Sat. [to H. H. Rubin, M.D.]. Dr. Frank P. Dobbins [D.O.] is going along to 'protect' us. He has paved the way, too."
4. 4/19/34 She obtained 378-18, the first of a series of rdgs. for her father who disappeared leaving a suicide note.
5. 5/06/34 Mother [255] wrote: "[275] feels wonderful results from Mrs. [509]'s treatments. She is moved and pulled and adjusted, and is rosy after it from increased circulation. So we all are trying to do our share."
6. 5/17/34 She obtained Ck. Physical Rdg. 275-41, advising that the deep osteopathic treatments would be preferable to any type of massage.
7. 9/29/34 She wrote: "If Ipsab is ready to send out, could you please have a bottle sent to us? I am very glad that it is being backed [by Health Home Remedies Corp.] and I hope that the Association will be helped through it. It worked wonders for my tooth, so it deserves to be successful."
