This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of April, 1927, in accordance with request made by her mother, Mrs. [979].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [5648].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before.
3. Now, we find the general physical conditions of the body are very good, and while there are some disturbing elements in the system, produced by the change as necessarily takes place under those physical changes as are being shown in the body, these only need that the excretory system be stimulated to that condition wherein the more normal condition is seen in the functioning of the liver and the kidneys, in their normal functions of the body - for, with these changes as are taking place in the system, through the general development as will be seen from same, there will come about those conditions that must be met, by there being created in the system the proper amount of eliminations that the blood supply may be in accord with the needs of the physical forces of the body.
4. We would add, then, at the present time, these properties - in this way and manner:
5. First we would prepare the carrier for these medicinal properties, in this manner:
6. To sixteen (16) ounces of water (distilled water), add six (6) ounces of Wild Cherry Bark. Reduce this by simmering to one-half (1/2) the quantity. Strain. Then add four (4) ounces of cane sugar, first dissolved in two (2) ounces of hot water. Stir these to-gether, then let come ALMOST to a boil, see? Then set off as the carrier, adding this:

   Syrup of Sarsaparilla Compound...........1/2 ounce,
Tincture of Stillingia...................1/4 ounce,
Elixir Calisaya..........................1/2 ounce,
Oil of Peppermint..........................3 minims.

7. Shake the solution well to-gether before each dose is taken, which should be a teaspoonful three (3) times each day, before meals, see? and keep the intestinal tract open, using as an assistant for same those properties found in Usoline. Take at least TABLESPOONFUL before retiring each evening, until the system is cleared of all drosses. Then this may be taken in smaller quantities, until the medicinal properties are all taken, see?
8. Keep exercises as have been outlined for the body. This should bring about the better eliminations and prevent the system from becoming clogged through any of the excretory system; or of preventing eliminations becoming centralized through any of their channels at the detriment of other portions of body.
9. Do that.

1. 4/17/27 Mother's ltr.: "[286] just rec'd her medicine from B'ham yesterday but they failed to send the Usoline. She has written to them to know if they can get this, she could not get it here. She will not take this she has until she can get it all as directed."
2. 4/26/27 EC's ltr.: "It is very near the same thing as Nujol, which one can get almost anywhere, but Usoline is a more refined and better product, to my way of thinking. At least the readings say that."
3. 2/23/33 Mother requested Ck. Physical for her: "What is the cause of a small blue spot on the back? What climate is best suited to this body? I believe that is all. Your readings are always so exact I believe they tell just the condition at the time of the reading, and there have been several different ideas about this condition is why I am anxious to have you read her. Then I feel I will have the correct one. She asked me to mention this spot on her back. Miss Grapes (Nona Grapes, N.D.) in giving her some tr. sometime ago (a year or more) remarked she would like to know just what it was. It looks like a bruise and feels warmer than the rest of her body. It has been there for several years, stays just the same. She thought it was from a fall she had."
