9/16/33 "Some time since I have heard from you, and it too
has been some time since I have written you a letter.
"Now, with reference to my physical condition. I believe my
throat has entirely healed, but I seem to be a nervous wreck.
Now, I don't mean that I shake, not that kind of nervousness
- I sleep well, never miss a meal and feel just fine when I
am quiet.
"Now to explain what seems to be my condition, about two
weeks ago a Mr. Kauntz called me to come down to the Neil
House, advising me he had a party to buy my coal mine. I
told him I would meet him at 10:00 o'clock the next morning.
I never had met the man and I paged for him, and in a few
minutes met him, and I immediately broke down, and it was
several minutes even before I could talk to him, then I came
to myself and I was all right.
"Night before last a party drove up to my home and wanted a
room for himself and wife, and wanted to put his car in my
garage. I carried his baggage in the house and went out to
open the doors to the garage. I got within ten feet of the
doors, I had to stop, and it was at least five minutes
before I could move. This man happened to be a Doctor from
the East; he said at once, I sympathize with you. I know
just how you feel. Can I open the doors? I told him he
could, and he did, and when he came out of the garage he
said your trouble is your nerves. In about five minutes I
was able to walk to the house, but it required fifteen or
twenty minutes before I was entirely all right. Now this
same thing has occurred to me many times in the last two
months.
"Yesterday I took a sweat, I had a severe headache before I
went into the sweat and in fifteen minutes the headache was
relieved, and today I can walk anywhere without suffering.
Now, you may wonder why I say walk anywhere, when this
trouble catches me, I have absolutely got to stand perfectly
quiet until I get over It.
"Now, with reference to my hearing, it is not quite as good
as it was. It seems to be continually failing.
"I am giving you this information so that Mrs. Cayce can ask
you about these different conditions. I am always at home
in the afternoons, and I will arrange to be in my home from
3:00 to 4:00 o'clock next Monday afternoon, also Tuesday and
Wednesday afternoons.
"However, as yet, I have not sold my coal property, but may
in the near future.
"Mrs. [
2646] is not very well and I want to get a reading for
her as soon as you can pick her up.
"I hope that you are getting along real well, and still hope
that I may get in a physical condition where I can help you.
"Wish you would also inquire about my throat, but I think it
is all right."
Yours very truly, [
