7/28/25 - EC's dreams had in
the last two weeks, especially these two: [Dictated to GD]
DREAM 1: It seemed I was on a large boat, not a sailing
vessel but rather after the manner of an enormous barge,
beautifully decorated, and it was off the coast of Virginia
Beach. In the center of it was a beautiful dancing floor,
housed in, as it were, with a soda fountain or ice cream
stand all around, open only at each end. Apparently, nearly
everyone I knew was on the boat. Music was going, and
dancing.
Especially I saw Adeline Blumenthal and Linden Shroyer
dancing together, Hugh Lynn and Ruth Blumenthal, Violet
Shroyer and Ed Joseph, Edwin Blumenthal and Miss Gladys. A
great many people, though, were fishing. Morton Blumenthal,
Gertrude and I were sitting together, all three fishing.
Morton was sitting between us and was explaining something to
us, telling it or talking at a great rate, gesticulating
considerably with his right hand. A fish bit at the hook
Gertrude was fishing with and she caught the fish, seemingly
about eight or ten inches long, but it had the face of an
individual or man, and when she pulled it up onto the barge,
Morton exclaimed, "My! You've caught a Jew fish!"
DREAM 2: We had an institution at Virginia Beach, it seemed,
and Dr. Thomas [M.D. from Hopkinsville, Ky., who has from the
beginning been very bitterly against any of the work or
endeavor I have attempted to do] came there to investigate
same. He seemed to grow very enthusiastic about the work,
especially the various specific remedies as had been given
for various individuals, or for various maladies, and of
various appliances that had been given in readings for people
to use for various conditions, and which we were
manufacturing at this place. He wanted to join in the work
and insisted on his being given the right to go to the
various parts of the country and interest medical men in the
work that we were doing.
