This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of January, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Edgar Cayce.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Now, there are, in the physical conditions of the body, those that are not in the normal way of functioning, produced by congestion and the poor eliminations throughout the system. These are produced from two reasons, we see: That of over-eating, and that of over-smoking. For the poor elimination, through the disturbed digestion by not fully masticating the food, produces a taxation in the intestinal digestion. And without those organs that have been removed from the system [appendix and?], that assist in the digestion which passes from the small intestine to the colon for exuding from the system, there is then formed in the ascending and transverse colon that position, place, where the toxins from indigested foods, or from improperly digested foods or forces - and the toxins, nicotine and poisons as absorbed from inhalation from smoke, see - then find in the system, through the perfect relaxation of these, lodgement - in the tissue where the lymphatic and capillary circulation carry same. Thus a small strain to any muscular organ, that necessitates the extra flow of the lymphatics to that portion, carrying with same those conditions that should be eliminated from the system, produces in that portion distress in the form of muscular contraction, see? 2. Then, to eliminate these conditions, as has been given, well that they be cared for by not overloading the system but rather by being consistent and not being extravagant with the physical forces of the body.
3. Be rather consistent in the stimulants as taken in smoking.
4. And add to the system that vibration found in the Radio-Active Appliance, in its normal form, see, to bring about the perfect coordination and equilibrium of the system. Change it from a normal activity at times to the application from the central portion of the body as the negative pole, of the Gold solution or vibration for the system, see?
5. Then, with following these conditions consistently and persistently as outlined, if the body would function the more normally, we would add that suggestion that the body will not smoke so much, that it will become obnoxious to the body to do so; that it will become obnoxious to the body to overload itself with food, see?

7. (Q) How long should the Radio-Active Appliance be applied each time?
   (A) Hour to hour and a half. Take whenever necessary, as given. Use with consistence. When necessary, apply. When not, do not apply, see?
8. (Q) When is it necessary to apply same?
   (A) When the body is not perfectly normal. When is the body not perfectly normal? When it doesn't feel good! When does it not feel good? When there's something the matter with it! When is there something the matter with it? When something has been applied to the body that should not be! [Humor?]
9. (Q) Is it in any way injurious to the physical health of the body to give the psychic readings at this time?
   (A) Upon the psychic readings, or those forces, depend the health-giving forces of the body. When given in a way consistent with the physical condition of the body, they are NOT injurious. When a strain to the physical condition of the body, they are injurious. When it is a burden to the body to induce that condition, through which the forces of the subconscious may act, well that these not be given. [Work:E.C.]
10. (Q) Any special diet for this body?
    (A) As has been given, much of those food values as are found in kale, corn bread; in spaghetti, spinach, and fish and fowl, see? Those of the rougher nature are better for the body.
11. (Q) Any further suggestions for the improvement of the body?
    (A) Be persistent, be consistent. Give those suggestions to the entity that will prevent; else we find that the desires of the flesh are over-ridden in the body, through lack of PHYSICAL control of the desires as are manifested in same, see?
