TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [295], present in this room, who seeks guidance in regard to her mental and spiritual developments in the present experience in the earth's plane and her desire to give herself in service and to others. Please give such advice as she has need of in helping her to understand herself and her relationships to others, answering such questions as may be asked in regard to these and past incarnations.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [295], present in this room, and those conditions as problems, as conditions, as confront the body in the mental and the physical attitudes as respecting others, relationships with others; also the information as has been given in respect to that BUILDED through experiences in the earth's plane that are to be met in the present.
3. As has been given, with the variations in the experiences, there is little wonder that there oft arises turmoils within self as to attitudes and relations as should be, or must be, assumed or acted upon by self respecting these.
4. That as may be given, as that counsel, that advice, as will enable the body in its present experience to meet all of those conditions:
5. Know in Whom thou has believed, and know He is able to keep that committed unto Him against any experience that may arise in thine life. As the love, the counsel, the associations in that sojourn when there remained naught to be said as respecting counsel, then though trials, though temptations, though those things that would beset arise, know that all may be placed in His keeping; and DO NOT belittle self nor self's associations with that that enables self to gain the greater control over self, individuals or circumstances as may arise in thine own experience; for with those things that arise, He gave, "As ye overcome the little things are there given the greater tasks to be done." Be kind, gentle, affectionate, one toward another, in love preferring one another, as He gave, and that peace that comes even from His own hand will be thine own lot. In service for others His strength may flow through thine own body, for others; for, as He gave thee power unto others, so was it given unto thee that those whom thou asketh, seeketh, aideth, may know that the Redeemer liveth, and His power is manifest in thine own actions. Do those conditions - even as of old, when being railed upon or spoken about - make for those things that hurt or hinder, in HIM these may be cast aside - NOT of self! Remembering there are many conditions to be met. KEEPING, then, in the light, is that way, that manner, that greater spiritual, greater insight, greater knowledge, greater patience, greater love, may be shown day by day. A life is not builded in a moment. Neither is one act, one deed, the result of a MOMENT'S experience; rather the growth - as has been given - is in that of a life spent in service one for another. Make thine self GLAD in HIM, and that joy as comes from others, "Lord, Others - May I lose myself in service for others. Even as Thou did give thine own heart's blood that OTHERS might know the Father's face, so may I give mine own body, mine heart, that OTHERS may know Thee!"

7. (Q) Has she had other incarnations in the earth besides those four mentioned in her life reading? If so, what were they and what is their effect in the present?
   (A) These, as given, are the ones that are to be met, or to be USED in the present. Others included many in VARIOUS conditions, or SEVERAL others - but not as INFLUENCES (unless builded to same) in the present.
8. (Q) Did she have an experience in the Persian period during the time of the Master's appearance there? [Uhjltd & Zend period?]
   (A) An experience in the Persian period, among those that were of the household of the leader through whom those came that gave the greater understanding; yet this is not an INFLUENCE - as that of the Master with Mary and Martha, loved by the Master.
9. (Q) What is meant by, in her life reading [295-1]: "We find those affairs of the heart are those contrary-wise in the entity's experience"?
   (A) In the appearances as we find influence the life of the entity in the present, these partook rather of the MENTAL development than of the PHYSICAL, or of the FILIAL development. Hence when experiences that do enter in, in the present, that deal much with that phase of experience, these are hard to be judged or classed BY that as is influencing the entity in the present - see? So OFT, then, does the entity JUDGE such experience (that is, relationships to love affairs, or of the heart, in the present) by that as is seen AROUND self in the lives of others. This does not COORDINATE with that felt by self. Hence turmoils.
10. (Q) Please outline more fully her Egyptian experience.
    (A) Here we find, as was given, in the service in the temple there, and with the banishment then of that one, or those, who had led the entity in its development, in its associations with others, in the capacity of giving the understanding, the aid, the relationships of one to another, and to others, and to the Creative Forces as were manifest, the entity - with the LOSS of that association - then sought to bring about the return TO the power or position of that one GIVING, or leading, in that experience. Hence the entity became one that made for CLOSER, BETTER, relationships between those in power and those that made for the divisions, or aided in the better understanding of the relationships that should be maintained between that one giving the lessons and the peoples themselves. Hence, as we find in the present, as those lessons, those truths as may be gained from the associations with those entities in and about that experience, various conditions arise that at times appear to be antagonistic, and the entity finds self easily taking sides, or being of the opinions that the same conditions are IN the earth as in that experience. When we understand the relations as to how psychic forces arise in one's being, or the experiences as are brought back when truth arises to show itself in its various forms, whether in BODY relations, MENTAL relations, or SPIRITUAL relations these then are to be studied gently, studied patiently, following in the manner as has so oft been given, "Let thy yeas be yea, and thy nays be nay, in the light, the love, of Him that said, "THOU hast chosen the better part." Let, then, all thine activities - in understanding that as may be accomplished by self in the present, in the capacity of bringing those relationships and those understandings to those peoples as of old - be with patience and with persistence, and with that determination that "Others may do as they may, but for me - I will serve WITH the living truth, the LIVING God." "I am determined to know nothing among men save Jesus and Him crucified, for these truths are one!"
11. (Q) Are the magnetic treatments I am giving [543] in any way affecting my mental attitude? If so, how? [See 543-18.]
    (A) In these relationships there should be a more perfect understanding of that as has been given. In the application or the use of self as a channel for many to work THROUGH, in the application of the mental and the physical beings to a body to eradicate that as is detrimental in a physical body, is an undertaking, if viewed as such. Is an OPPORTUNITY for development, an opportunity for the greater love to be manifest, if taken in that attitude. Cleanse thine mind whenever there is to be a treatment given, of all urges of any nature as AGAINST any individual, group, or peoples, and be PASSIVE for those supplications, those prayers; and we will find, as others lift up, so shall THOU be lifted up in abilities, spiritually, mentally, and physically; for in BEING such a channel there comes to such individuals those of blessings that few may ever know.
12. (Q) Would it be well for the body to fast during these periods of treatments?
    (A) The body DOES fast during the periods of treatments!
13. (Q) For that day?
    (A) No. For, fasting - as is ordinarily termed - is as the Master gave: Laying aside thine own concept of HOW or WHAT should be done at this period, and let the Spirit guide. Get the truth of fasting! The body, the man's bodily functioning, to be sure, OVERDONE brings SHAME to self, over indulgence in anything - but the true fasting is casting out of self that as "I would have done", [replacing with] "but as THOU, O Lord, seest fit - use me as the channel, as the strength comes by the concerted and cooperative seeking of many to give Thy strength to a body!"
