This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of April, 1929, in accordance with request made by self, Miss [302].

TEXT

1. EC: We have the body here. This we have had before, [302].
2. Now, we find there are many changes with the physical functioning of the body. Some for betterment; some are much changed and give distress to the physical functioning.
3. Here we have the real effect of a warning as was given the body as regarding relationships, especially with another, and of the resultant discord and of the conditions as would bring distress, dissatisfaction, and eventually dissolution [disillusion?] for the physical body in the inability to control self in directions wherein the body should use will forces. [See 302-2 and 302-5 in re love affair.]
4. Now, as to those conditions that have disturbed the throat, bronchials, head, and the activity of the sympathetic nerve system, these show some improvements; yet under the stress and strain of an overtaxed nerve system and over exercised condition in the mucus producing forces of the body, the high taxation as is brought to the vibratory forces of the nerve system are NOT in the position of creating for the body other than that hard to be met by the rebuilding and replenishing forces of the system.
5. In that as is seen in the organs of the pelvis here, these are not those, as yet, of the ulceration nor of the nature as to be that as would become a growth in itself. Rather that of infection and irritation through those forces as have produced irritation with the mucus membranes of the organs themselves. This the irritation as is produced for the system with the high state of nerve forces as has been brought about, and the overtaxing of the system physically, mentally, and this gives the high state of nerve forces as related to the PHYSICAL body at the present time. While these conditions are not in themselves at the present time other than that of an over-irritation, yet, unless the physical forces of the body are brought more in accord, where the replenishing and the vitality of the system is restored, there may come resultant from this ANY character of condition.
6. To meet the needs of the forces of the body at the present time, the body should rest - physically, mentally - and DON'T worry! That is almost an impossibility, yet the body must take SELF in hand, should it desire to replenish from within the necessary vital forces to prevent the breaking down of tissue [Cancer? Warning?] under such strain, such conditions, as have existed with the body.
7. Also there should be used for the body those of the vibrations as will be created in system by the use of the Double X Radium Appliance, worn across the lower portion of the back for at least four hours each day.
8. Every third day the body should have those vibrations of the Ultra-Violet or Alpine ray, especially across the whole of the cerebrospinal system, and should be applied with a MOVING motion in THIS PARTICULAR case - see? and be at least thirty-eight inches from the body with the beginning of treatments, and not exposed longer than one and a half minute.
9. For the local condition [gonorrhea?] well that the body take sitz baths, and also steam baths - that will carry steaming hot water, and sit over same. In the water will be put (to the gallon) teaspoonful of Tincture of Myrrh and a teaspoonful of those properties of the Tolu in solution. These combined. Sit over this every third day (opposite from those of the treatment with the Violet or Ultra-Violet rays) for at least twenty to thirty minutes.
10. Also a weak solution of Creolin may be used for a douche.
11. This, with the vibratory forces, the rest, and a gentle massage every two to four days, will bring the nearer normal forces for the body.
12. The body should rest entirely, of body and mind, for at least two weeks to four weeks, to bring the near normal forces.
13. The diet should be those of that nature of as much protein as the body will assimilate and digest. This will necessarily change as the vital forces are replenished or assisted in the system. Never using, however, white breads. Not too much of starches, but of the vitamins of those foods that rebuild blood and nerve energy as much as body may thoroughly digest.
14. Do that. We are through for the present.

2. 4/14/29 Wire: "Suffering frantic pains in lower back. Will you please take Physical at your earliest convenience? Also suffering terrible pain above eye and in eyes. Will be ... B'way from 10 to 3 daily, at my home after that ... St."

REPORTS

1. 4/22/29 See employer's rdg. 900-437, Par. 6-A dream interpretation reading warning of physical condition of Miss [302], possible death, etc.
2. 7/20/29 She wrote: "I have intended writing you several times lately but due to being called to the bedside of my sister I haven't had the time or ambition to write.
   "I followed my reading out to the last word and I honestly and truly believe it has helped me considerably. I want to come down as soon as I can make it and you'll see for yourself the improvement in me.
   "I want to adopt a boy who will be two yrs. old Sept. 4th and am anxious to talk to you about this ere I sign the papers."
3. 11/11/29 She obtained Ck. Physical 302-9 for pain around heart, which warned again of inroads for breaking of cell tissue.
4. 2/03/30 Ltr. under Physical Rdg. 302-9 Reports indicated she could have saved herself much suffering early in 1929 if she had followed the advice in her first two readings [302-1 & 302-2].
