(Q) Please advise me how I may help her to adjust her
outlook toward life at this time; suggesting specific
attitudes, activities, etc.
(A) These, to be sure, set from ANY individual or any line
of truth would become rote, if it is given "Today do this;
tonight say that; tomorrow do the other." But rather with
that precept and example in self, make for the awakening as
much as possible of the BETTER self; in that as the body
[
263] gives out to those in the home and about self, as
associations, these will rebound in the same manner in which
they are meted out.
Not, then, as preachment, not as lecturing, but as counseling
with the entity in those directions - and there may be the
closer approach to the helpful attitude in this direction.
(Q) What has definitely caused the dividing line between
[
263] and [...]? Is she responsible?
(A) Fifty-fifty!
As there has grown INDIFFERENCE, and each experience or
happening is used by each as an excuse - or rather to justify
themselves for their own self-indulgences in their varied
manners of expressing same, then there is the necessity that
they each choose their own way - and then abide by same.
(Q) Is her attitude toward her husband at variance to her
better development, or will it in the end be helpful to all
concerned?
(A) Be helpful to all concerned.
(Q) Any advice regarding her son [
415] at this time?
(A) This is the greater problem, as may be seen from many
varied angles. Yet as the twig is bent so will the tree
grow. Keep not a SHELTERMENT but a GUIDED, DIRECTED
EXPRESSION in all the training and associations with the body
at this period.
(Q) Is there any way in which I may help [
263]'s husband?
(A) Best to let him make the moves for the change. Draw a
line. Let him make the breaks, the changes.
(Q) Regarding my son [
361], would it be best for him to go
to summer school or try and secure employment for the summer?
(A) Employment, as we find, would be the more helpful and
the more preferable; the more independence, yet dependent
independence, that the body may have or experience or express
the better. Drilling, training, schooling, is correct in its
place; but EXPRESSION is that needed by all.
(Q) Where should he try to secure employment?
(A) In whatever LINE or work that the IMPRESSIONS of the
body are that it would choose. As we find, some paper,
magazine or such associations would be the better.
(Q) Any other advice regarding [
361] at this time?
(A) This as indicated. Let there be self-expression; but
same guided and counseled - for HE will take counsel.
(Q) Is sister [
307]'s health improving and is there anything
more that I can do for her?
(A) Improving, as we find. And with the general conditions
and surroundings bettering, and all more harmonious, she will
be the better. As for any changes, none that we find are
expedient in the present.
(Q) Please advise me, [
303], regarding my physical and
financial conditions?
(A) Keep those precautions, those suggestions, that have
been given for health improvement. Be consistent in them.
In the financial, hold fast that thou hast set. Do not
overtax nor overburden self by renewed or renewal obligations
[Her sister, Miss [
307], said Mrs. [
303] had tendency to make
too many charge accounts.], but be patient and all will work
to the best for all concerned.
(Q) Any other advice for the body that would be of help at
this time?
(A) Look not upon those things in the rear. Let not that
which has passed disturb. But know thou hast a will in self.
Choose under each circumstance the best thou KNOWEST to do,
under each condition; LEAVING the results, the increase, the
help, in His hands.
We are through for the present.
