TEXT

1. EC: Yes.
2. As we find, conditions are progressing not altogether as satisfactorily as might be desired; owing to the lack of resistance in the system and the imperfect coagulation of the blood forces there needs to be great precautions taken as to the manner and way of dressing, and as to the way the body should be built up.
3. Then, we would use the beef juices - and necessary that there be great precautions in the preparation of same; and take small quantities often. Milk - preferable Dry Milk or of that nature or character. Have foods that are easily assimilated; and to keep up the eliminations.
4. And with the inactivity, the use of Oils AND enemas is preferable to cathartics. Though the cathartics that have been indicated or taken are very well, do not keep a drain on the system in that direction.
5. Thus we should find conditions developing towards a betterment throughout the body.
6. As we find, now, with the changes that have been wrought in the system, we would change the tonic for the body to the Codiron tablets - as manufactured by the Lawrence Laboratories, Chicago, Illinois. These carry sufficient of iron, cod liver oil and the vitamins necessary for the proper way or amount of assimilation for body-building for this body. Also these will add to the deficiency in the blood forces for better resistances to be builded in the body.
7. Be very careful that irritation is not produced on ANY of the wounds produced by the removal of the tumorous natures in portions of the system. For until there is better resistance, any irritations might cause VERY disturbing conditions.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) What precautions should I take in order to prevent return of growths such as those that have been removed last Monday?
   (A) As just indicated, that there is not irritation by rubbing, binding or the like, and that the system is built up for proper replenishing forces or resuscitating activities and resistances for the body.
10. (Q) Would it be alright for me to return to work Monday?
    (A) Provided the body is sufficiently able. This will depend upon responses. How long will it be before tomorrow, or Monday, or what Monday? It may be on Monday but WHAT Monday may be the question! This depends upon the activities of the body. DO NOT OVERTAX the system! Unless the body is sufficiently recovered, then do not tax the body mentally and physically so soon!
11. (Q) Would it be helpful for me to take the electrically driven vibrator and violet ray?
    (A) Do not take these in the present. Let's build the system before you attempt to separate the vibratory forces of the body now!
Of course, the electrically DRIVEN vibrator, using the sponge applicator along the spine, would REST the body; but NOT electrical treatments in the present! This (the violet ray) may be used later, but NOT in the present!
12. (Q) What causes aching of hip bone?
    (A) Poisons in system.
13. (Q) What is condition of my eyes, and should glasses be changed?
    (A) The poisons and the effect of pressures upon the system that at times assist in bringing on the headaches, from the pressures upon the nerve system.
After there is the ability to return to work, we would have the eyes tested for a change.
14. (Q) Any other advice regarding diet?
    (A) Those as indicated should be the precautions at this time.
15. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

1. 4/19/38 Sister [307] submitted questions, saying: "She was operated on (knotty tumors on back and leg) yesterday, is to come home the 21st. She's feeling fine today. She wants to know how to take care of herself and if she can return to work Monday, the 25th?"

REPORTS

1. 4/24/38 Sister, Miss [307], phoned saying: "Mrs. [303]'s wound has broken open [she fingered it during sleep] and is bleeding this morning some; stitch broken. Please if you can get in a few questions this morning we'd appreciate it so much, and phone Mrs. [404] right back. We called Dr. Rogers [H. W. Rogers, M.D.] but he won't be back home till twelve. Do you know he hasn't looked at the wound since he operated? He's just left the dressing of it to the nurses, and you know the Reading warned about it being dressed properly."
2. 4/24/38 See 303-19 advising proper care.
