This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Artic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of November, 1939, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [303], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. Now as we find, there is much to be desired in the general physical forces of this body; yet we find conditions are much better than they have been in other periods.
4. There are nerve tensions, due to the using of the energy without any great abilities for the sustaining forces to create reserve energies.
5. Thus at times we have the upsetting of the digestive system, lack of proper eliminations, headaches, pains through the eyes and joints and limbs.
6. As we find, - we would have the general osteopathic manipulations occasionally; this sometimes not more than once or twice a month, at others once a week, - this would depend upon how much energies had been used up.
7. Then, as we find, we would take two tonics; one in the form of Wyeth's Beef, Iron and Wine, taken three times each day, - two teaspoonsfu1 of morning before any meal is taken, two teaspoonsful before the evening meal, and two teaspoonsful when ready to retire of evening.
8. The other compound would be prepared in this way and manner:
9. To 1/2 gallon of Distilled Water, add - in the order named:

   Burdock Root.........................1/2 ounce,
Yellow Dock Root.....................1/2 ounce,
Snake Root...........................1/2 ounce,
Toothache Bark [Prickly Ash Bark]....1/4 ounce,

   Buchu Leaves.........................1/4 ounce,
Elder Flower...........................1 ounce.

   Reduce by simmering - not overly boiling, and only in a glass or enamel container - to one quart, when strained.
10. Then add 1/2 pint of Four Roses Whisky; and dissolve or cut in alcohol Tolu Gum 1/2 ounce and add to same.
11. This would be taken after meals; two teaspoonsful after the morning meal, two teaspoonsful after the evening meal.
12. Do these, and we will bring the better forces and conditions for this body, [303].
13. This will aid the appetite, this will aid in better eliminations of activities through the system, and the general conditions for the body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What causes numbness in feet, hands and fingers?
    (A) Slowed circulation, and the lack of vital energy.
16. (Q) Soreness along spine, right side and chest?
    (A) Lack of energy and vitality through the body, and we have indicated that to restore same. Do that.
17. (Q) Why did I feel worse after last few osteopathic treatments?
    (A) Not enough of the eliminations of the poisons stirred in the system. There should have been the better eliminations.
18. (Q) Have the osteopathic treatments been beneficial to me?
    (A) They are only beneficial when the rest of the system is made to coordinate with same.
19. (Q) Any spiritual advice?
    (A) Keep constructive in the thinking always.

1. 3/16/39 She obtained 303-21 for pain in right lung and back [rib lesion].
2. 11/01/39 She requested advice for headaches, numbness, pains in back, side, chest, neck; constipation, etc.
3. 4/38 Knotty tumors from her back and leg had been removed surgically.

REPORTS

1. 3/31/40 She had inhalant prepared for her own use as indicated in her friend's rdg. 357-8.
2. 4/08/41 She obtained 1241-1 for her little niece.
3. 6/10/41 She obtained 303-23 indicating lymph tumors or lymph pockets were again forming on her body.
