This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of January, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [303], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through her sister Miss [307].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [303]; this we have had before.
3. Conditions are not so good. The mental attitudes, or conditions, combined with the tendency for the body to drive itself, have so weakened and depleted the vital forces of the body that there is little resistance.
4. As we find, it will require time and patience, and REST for the body.
5. Give the beef juice as a medicine, - half to a teaspoonful every three hours.
6. About twice a day take an eggnog made preferably with Apple Brandy, using just sufficient of the whiskey to cook the yolk of an egg. Add just enough whiskey to the yolk of an egg to cook the egg (using only the yolk, you see), then at least two teaspoonsful of Apple Brandy, then fill the glass with milk. Sip this several times during the day, or this much may be taken during a whole morning, and another in the afternoon and evening.
7. Then keep the better eliminations. These are necessary, if there is to be built up resistances. Use enemas, even if it requires that these be taken daily; at least cleanse the lower portion of the colon.
8. Take the massages with the equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil daily.
9. These as we find will be the better for the body in the present.
10. Soon we would have a general RELAXATION osteopathically. This should be a RELAXING treatment, rather than too great a stimulating, - save for better eliminations - THOSE centers stimulate to activity.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Is my body being benefited by the medicine I've been taking?
    (A) It sometimes has benefited, sometimes it has clogged the system.
Do these things as indicated here, now, for the present. And we would give other changes in the next three to five days.
13. (Q) Should the body rest at home for that period?
    (A) For at least three to four to five days.
14. (Q) Were the sweat baths given correctly and were they helpful?
    (A) These are helpful. They were given very well. The body has OVERTAXED the self, mentally AND physically - it drives itself too much!
15. (Q) What other foods should be taken during the next few days?
    (A) Some vegetables, of course, especially lettuce, celery, soups, oyster soups or such, - chicken soups or the like; those that are strengthening and vitality building.
Do these for the next three to four to five days, see?
16. We are through for the present.
