8/12/40 Mother's reply to Questionnaire: "For about three
yrs. prior to 308-1 my daughter began to lose weight, her
hair got stringy and straight whereas it had previously been
soft and curly. At times she ran a temperature, some days
refused to eat. Some days she would be very hungry and other
times she would not eat at all. She never wanted to eat
breakfast, and would gag on milk. She was very restless at
night and would grit her teeth. Over a period of years three
doctors had examined her thoroughly, one a baby specialist
who had taken care of her from birth. All agreed nothing
was wrong, that she simply had growing pains and would be
alright. No medication was prescribed. I decided that the
next time she had a temperature I would get a reading for
her. She had been missing a great deal of school also. I
phoned Mr. Cayce in the morning and he gave her the reading
that afternoon.
"I gave her the dosage of Calomel, Santonin and Nux vomica
(prepared medicine) as indicated in the reading, and later
she spit it up. Since I didn't know how much she had
retained, I was afraid to give her another dose; but I did
follow through with the rest of the suggestions in her
reading, just as outlined, though I was unable to adhere
very closely to the diet. I had heard the worm dosage was
dangerous, so I was afraid to give it again without a ck.
rdg.
"When she passed the worms, they looked as though they were
cut up in small pieces; they were whitish looking, or
something like pus. There was a doubt in my mind about
whether she had gotten rid of all the worms, because she did
not retain the calomel, etc. However, her general health
improved gradually.
"I had reading
308-2 for her on
8/29/34, primarily because
she was wetting the bed, but also because I wanted to be
sure she was rid of the worms.
"We are still working on those pressures which are causing
disturbances in the body."

"My daughter's children have been subjected to infection,
with pinworms, and caused her concern and expense, until I
told her to use the Edgar Cayce cure with raw cabbage. A
couple of days of tr., the pinworms disappeared completely,
and they haven't had them since. Now, as a preventive
measure, we decided it would be a good policy to include
cole-slaw in the diet at least twice a week."
