This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Virginia, this 12th day of May, 1938, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [282], Active Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

Time and Place: 3:40 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Avenue, ..., Florida.

(Physical Suggestion)

EC: Yes - we have those disturbances, those impressions, those activities with the physical forces of the body, [314].
As we find, so long as there is this infection - and it is causing greater amount of toxic forces and poisons in the system that not only produce the disturbance with the throat and head but upset the digestive forces and reduce the resistances in the body - it would be preferable to carry on with the suggestions that have been made for the relief.
Precautions must be made as to keeping the body sufficiently quiet, and watching the heart's activity closely in administering the anaesthesia for the activities of same.
Ready for questions.
(Q) Any precautions to mother after the operation?
(A) As indicated, it will be necessary for the quiet and the precautions regarding the diet - that it is kept well- balanced in the rebuilding of the depleted influences or forces in the structural portion of the physical system.
(Q) Any other suggestions?
(A) These as we find are the conditions to be met in the present.

BACKGROUND

She obtained Ck. Physical 314-2 on 4/14/34 for baby care, teething, cough, etc.
5/10/38 Father [282]'s ltr. fr. N.Y.: "I just heard from [301] that [314] was to have an operation on Fri. or Sat. for adenoids. Will you please give her a ck. rdg. asking the question about the operation? I have asked [301] to delay operation until she heard from you."

REPORTS

2/24/39 See aunt's rdg. 457-5, Par. 14-A saying that the children [314] and [299] are not affected by their father [282]'s blood weakness.
See subsequent notations under 314-1 Life Rdg. Reports, indicating that [314] had a polio attack in April 1946, at 14 yrs. of age, and was never able to walk again; although she later married and gave birth to a child, etc.
