TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. As we find, there are many changes since we last had the body here.
4. In the present there is more of the ACUTE condition.
5. The applications of the hydrotherapy nature would be the better; for the cold, the congestion, the muscular aches, the sneezing, the fullness in throat and head, the achings through the shoulders.
6. We would take the COMPLETE hydrotherapy applications. Begin with the shower, and then have the dry heat first followed by the steam - or in combination with the steam bath; then the sitz baths, and then a thorough - THOROUGH massage! not so much adjustments but thorough rubs, with some good skin stimulant as the pine oil or a mixture of olive oil and pine oil.
7. It would be well also for a colonic irrigation to be given with the first applications.
8. Then in two or three days repeat the whole procedure, except the colonic - do not give another colonic irrigation so soon after the first, but repeat all the other applications.
9. And these as we find will bring about changes that will be most helpful as curatives as well as preventatives. Have these given at Reilly's, you see; and there will be given special attention. [H.J. Reilly, Ph. T., N.Y.C.]
10. Rest sufficiently.
11. Keep the feet dry.
12. For the nasal and throat passages, occasionally use a compound prepared as an inhalant. First prepare a container with two vents in same; that is, a large-mouthed bottle. Neither of the vents should extend into the solution. Hence use about a six to eight ounce bottle. Have the vents prepared so that they may be kept corked when the solution is not used. Put these ingredients into the bottle; preferably a dark glass bottle:
13. To 4 ounces of Grain Alcohol, add - in the order named:

    Oil of Eucalyptus.....................20 minims,
Compound Tincture of Benzoin..........10 minims,
Rectified Creosote.....................3 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp..................5 minims,
Tolu in Solution......................20 minims.

14. Shake the solution, then remove the small corks from vents and inhale the fumes deeply in either side of the nasal passage, first one and then the other, and then into the throat. Do not swallow the fumes, but inhale them into the lungs, bronchi and larynx, Keep this on hand and use it every morning and every evening, or oftener through the day, to relieve the burning and aching in the head and nasal passages, face and antrums and the soft tissue of the face. This will also prevent the fumes of other chemicals [in his work as a photographer] from having an effect upon the lungs themselves.
15. In the diet, - keep away from fried foods or too much starches combined with meats.
16. Do these and we will bring the bettered conditions for this body.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) What should be done for small patches on skin in nature of Psoriasis?
    (A) As indicated, the character of the rubs and the establishing of a better circulation - especially through the irrigations, the fumes, the diets, and the precautions in those things indicated, will remove these disturbances.
Get the poisons out of the system through the colonic, the sweats and massages - which will also bring relief from the muscular aches and pains.
19. We are through with this Reading.

Several small patches of papules, nature of psoriasis skin disease. Very uncomfortable state of mind. Would be very grateful for an early reply."

REPORTS

1. 6/12/41 "Am very sorry I have not answered your last rdg., which I appreciated very much. Would like rdg. at this time for conditions. Find it very difficult to breathe freely. Feel there might be obstruction nasal passage. Pains at base of brain travelling to right eye-temple; quite painful at times. Headaches. Aches, at times numb feeling, in lumbar area nervous system left side.
"Painful to walk up steps on the left side of right knee.
"Really haven't been right for a long time.
"I visit my chiropractor [C. P. Eifertsen, D.C., Staten Is., N.Y.] about once every two weeks, whom I have a lot of respect and confidence, and the adjustments do give me relief. My work is of such nature that I can't get time off to get to N.Y. [to Dr. Reilly]. So, through you, suggested diets and adjustments must prevail. Must be tip-top shape when they draft me in the Army."
