Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. [317], Mrs. [267], daughter [559], Mildred Davis, L. B. and Hugh Lynn Cayce.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and enquiring minds of [317] and [267], together with the circumstances and conditions that surround them. You will give them the council and advice which they need in meeting the present situation and in carrying on their ideals.
2. EC: Yes, we have the bodies, the enquiring minds, [317] and [267], present in this room, and those conditions and circumstances that beset them at this time; these we have had before.
3. As has been seen and given, they have reached that point where changes are imminent in the experience. Yet, as we find, without the changing of the ideals, purposes and aims, these should carry on in the undertakings that are before them.
4. True, circumstances in the present make for discouragements and faintheartedness in the immediate conditions.
5. There should, as we find, be then that appeal for those benefits that have been set as a portion of the work of groups or individuals in the immediate vicinity, as well as those pertaining to the broader field of activities in these directions. And not as bridging, not as altering, but rather as the connecting of purposes, aims, desires, activities, may these be carried on through these channels.

7. (Q) To what groups and connections do you refer?
   (A) Those that have set themselves as those desirous of aiding in the effectual work with the young, with boys, with those of that same class, group and activity as the ideals and purposes of those so interested.
8. (Q) Will you please give the names of some of these groups?
   (A) Go to Taylor. [Robert B. Taylor]
9. (Q) Does this indicate there should be a change from the school to a general boys' movement in Virginia Beach?
   (A) They would be one and the same; because it's necessary for the school activities!
10. (Q) The school should be continued?
    (A) Continued.
11. (Q) Through what channels in a broader field should groups be approached?
    (A) Through the educational board, and through the national educational board.
12. (Q) Will you please give the name of any individuals Mr. [317] should see personally?
    (A) Commence with those at first, and let these work out through those whole connections that come with same.
    There are the natural channels that have prompted such a movement, such an activity. And these, as we find, may be made cooperative one with another.
13. (Q) In view of the information given us sometime ago through this channel, regarding a change in conditions for the better around the 15th of this month, you will explain just what was meant and tell us what we can do to assist in the improvement of conditions in order that we may carry on.
    (A) Just through those lines that we have indicated!
    As seen from all the astrological influences, these come as the testing periods for each in their activity. And, if taken in their proper way and manner, as we find, they will be said to be, in the future, the date, time, circumstance, through which there began those connections, associations and activities that will carry on to the greater activities of each in those fields of service and activity in His name.
    Let, then, all be followed in that way, that manner. TRUST in Him. For, the silver and the gold is His. Are His servants, His children, following in that way, that manner, as to bring those necessary things, conditions, surroundings, that will bring the better, the GOOD, in and out of the experience?
14. (Q) What do we do, or leave undone, that prevents a fuller manifestation of God in our lives?
    (A) WHO is there to find fault with the activities of any soul? Rather must each soul find in its own self the answer for every act, every question in its experience. Remember, as He has given, "Believest thou?" Then, so be it unto thee according to thy faith; to thy trust in Him.

16. (Q) Bob Taylor or Job Taylor?
    (A) Bob Taylor and Job Taylor; there's two or three! The immediate is to Bob Taylor! [Robert B. Taylor; Dr. Job Taylor]
17. (Q) Please explain the approach to him.
    (A) The purposes of each are in line. Approach through the purposes and desires, and the needs.
18. (Q) Is there anything to come to us today or tomorrow to meet this crisis; if so, what?
    (A) Work with that thou hast in hand, in associations, in connections; knowing that as thou laborest with that thou hast there is given day by day that necessary.
19. (Q) Are there any new boys coming in the near future?
    (A) If you will work it out as we have outlined, as we find, there should be many! We would keep after those that have also been approached in ALL the various connections; but carrying through with these for the immediate, in the ways and manners, both to the local, to the state, to the national.
20. (Q) Should we take any new boys at reduced rates?
    (A) If the combination of all justifies, and does not make a burden rather than aid, be well. Consider all conditions. We would, though.
21. (Q) Are there any evil forces working against us? If so, how can we overcome them?
    (A) Through Him. The evil influences, or those conditions that must be met in every experience, are always routed by "in Him," the Christ, the Christ life.
22. (Q) Do you know of any inheritance coming to [267]? If so, when and what?
    (A) We do not find it in the present, or dealing with the present situation. Later.
23. (Q) Is there any other advice or counsel for us at this time?
    (A) Follow in the way thou knowest to do day by day, meeting each and every circumstance with the thankfulness of that, "I am His and He will open the way."
