This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of March, 1926, in accordance with request made by his father - Mr. [779].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same. You will answer the questions regarding this body that I will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had before. The general physical condition of body is on the improve. There are those conditions of congestion that are existent, or dregs of same are existent, in the vibratory forces of the blood and cell building centers in the system. These need attention, in the way of an alkaline stimulant to the intestinal system, to enliven the eliminating centers and thereby rid the system of these conditions. Such as will be found in very weak sage tea, with catnip in same, see? That is, steep a pinch of the sage in 4 to 6 ounces of distilled water, for half to three-quarters of an hour. Strain off. Then add 2 to 3 leaves of dried or of green catnip, and let THIS steep for ten to fifteen minutes; that is, after the water is heated, see? Then strain. Sweeten just a little - very little - just so that it will be taken. A few drops at the time may be given, see, until there is full action from the bowels.
3. The condition in the system where the tissue shows how that, with the dilation of the intestine, tissue is separated, this shows some improvement; though, as is seen, this of necessity requires time and attention. As is seen, the manipulations as have been given are GOOD. [Neuropathically by Mrs. Mamie Butler Gray.]
4. The packs as hold the system in place - better use that as has been lately received or prepared for same, than the packs in the manner that have been used. With this continual manipulation, and the watching of the intestinal system, that we do not produce impacts, or allow the system to become clogged, we will find we will gradually overcome this condition.
5. Then, keep in that way as has been outlined; the change only being that mild tea for the eliminations in the system at the present time. Should not be necessary to keep these up more than one to two days, giving one to two drops in the little water two to three times each day - for two days, see? Then we would have the reaction in system that will overcome this condition. Do that. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Were the later neuropath manipulations given correctly and helpful to this body?
   (A) Very good, as given. These, as we see, are helpful to the body, and should be continued, for the tissue needs the enlivenment of the nerve centers that, when the connection and healing is made, these will be in their proper manner, and not later in life produce adhesions.
7. (Q) Please give the best kind of bandage or truss to use for this hernia?
   (A) This as we have given, see?
8. (Q) How long should it take for hernia to heal or cure? and how many treatments should bring about the proper results?
   (A) It will take six to eight months. The treatments should be continued from time to time. Taken NOW until the system is at least RID of this condition, see? that is, the congestion in system. Then may be discontinued for a few weeks, see? and begun again, OR this may be given, as is seen, by the mother, in the way and manner as may be SHOWN or stipulated to the body, see?
9. (Q) If food that is being given is not correct -
   (A) (Interrupting) It's very good.
10. (Q) Should the medicinal properties be continued?
    (A) These medicinal properties as we have given, in the way and manner. We would keep occasionally that intestinal antiseptic as is given in Glyco-Thymoline - a few drops in water occasionally, see?
11. (Q) Can the truss made by Brooks Appliance Co. be used effectively?
    (A) This as given.
12. That is all the questions.

1. 3/16/26 Father [779]'s letter: "Now we are so very much pleased over the reading on [318], so glad to know his condition is on the improve. He is taking the tea as given, and feel now he will soon be OK..."
2. 6/18/26 "That boy [318] has grown so much and just as live as he can be. He is so strong, trying his best to walk. I think he is a man, - wish you could see him doing his cute little tricks. His condition, wife says, is about well - very little does it bother him. I am so very thankful for it too, all because of the great help you gave..."
3. 8/03/26 "[318] is outgrowing all of them and he is so very sweet and so bright. I would give anything if you could see him now. The heat has broken out on him pretty bad during the hot weather. The hernia condition is not entirely well yet. We find it very hard to control as he is now crawling and pulling up on chairs, etc., which he strains himself in doing so keeps the condition from healing as fast as it should. Then too the truss we have for him, during this hot weather, and he crawling about, blisters him, so we are not able to use it much."
